Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) Kualitas RA berdasarkan standar nasional PAUD, 2) faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam rangka pencapaian standar nasional PAUD, dan 3) upaya RA mengatasi masalah/kendala dalam pencapaian standar PAUD. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa kualitas RA menunjukkan keragaman. RA yang sudah memperoleh status akreditasi sangat baik (A) dan baik (B) menunjukkan konsistensi ketercapaian kualitasnya, yaitu A dan B. Sementara RA yang status akreditasinya C (Cukup/Sedang) hasil yang diperoleh justru menunjukkan kenaikan yang sangat signifikan “A” (Sangat Baik), dan RA yang belum memperoleh status akreditasi (Belum Terakreditasi “BT”), hasil capaian kualitas yang diperoleh adalah C (Cukup/Sedang). Beberapa faktor pendukung pencapaian kualitas RA adalah semangat dan motivasi yang kuat para pengelola, kebersaman antar pengelola RA, dan, terjalinnya kerja sama yang baik antara masyarakat terutama orang tua dengan pihak sekolah. Sedangkan faktor penghambat/kendala antara lain: keterbatasan biaya, jumlah tenaga pendidik (guru) terutama guru pendamping, sarana prasarana yang tidak memadai, dan transportasi antar daerah yang cukup jauh. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan oleh lembaga (RA) untuk mengatasi hambatan/kendala tersebut di antaranya: memanfaatkan sarana prasarana secara maksimal dan efektif, penerapan manajemen secara transparan, peningkatkan kompetensi guru, pekerjaan sekolah dikerjakan oleh guru di luar sekolah, serta selalu menjalin komunikasi dengan pihak terkait. Abstract

This paper provides the results of a research on the mapping of madrasa quality in achieving National Education Standards (SNP). The research target is Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah), and the sample is Province of Riau. The research used questionnaires, coupled with documentation techniques for data-gathering. The findings showed that: 1) The quality of Islamic Senior High School in Riau Province generally the same between the public and the private madrasa. 2) There are two aspects, which have significant correlations with the output as of national test, namely educator standards and infrastructure standards. 3) There are a number of enabling and inhibiting factors from within or and outside institutions in the achievement of the National Education Standards. 4) Regarding inhibiting factors, Islamic Senior High School in Riau Province has done some efforts in attaining the standard. Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang peta mutu madrasah dalam pencapaian Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP). Sasaran penelitian sebagai unit analisis adalah Madrasah Aliyah dengan sampel wilayah Provinsi Riau. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, dan didukung dengan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa: 1) Mutu Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Riau secara umum relatif sama dan tidak jauh berbeda antara madrasah negeri maupun madrasah swasta. 2) Bila dilihat dari masing-masing aspek SNP, terdapat 2 (dua) aspek yang mempunyai korelasi dengan output (hasil UN), yaitu standar tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan dan standar sarana prasarana. 3) Banyak faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam upaya pencapaian SNP, baik dari dalam (intern) maupun dari luar (ekstern). 4) Terkait dengan adanya beberapa penghambat,telah dilakukan upaya dalam pencapaian SNP. Abstract

This paper presents the results of a research on the capacity of the Private University Coordinating Body (Kopertais) Region VI West Sumatra in improving the quality of Private Islamic Higher Education (Ptais) in accordance with its potential and conditions. This study uses a single case study; primary data has been obtained and collected from informants through interviews, observation and field notes. The results of the study indicate that the capacity of the Private University Coordinating Body in carrying out its duties and functions in order to improve the quality of Private Islamic Higher Education is not run properly and optimally due to various factors. The main factor was a weak juridical status which leads to the lack of resources (personnel, facilities and infrastructure) and budget. Another factor is the leadership dualism of a rector, where he is as ex officio rector and also as a coordinator Kopertais. It results in an uneffective leadership and management functions of this organization. Keywords: Private Islamic Higher Education (Ptais), quality of education, Private University Coordinating Body (Kopertais), West Sumatra Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang kapasitas Koordinatoriat Perguruan Tinggi Islam (Kopertais) Wilayah VI Sumatera Barat dalam peningkatan mutu Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam (PTAIS) sesuai dengan potensi dan kondisi yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus tunggal, dengan data primernya diperoleh dan dikumpulkan secara langsung dari informan melalui wawancara, pengamatan, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa kapasitas Kopertais dalam menjalankan tugas dan fungsi dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu PTAIS belum berjalan dengan baik dan optimal karena berbagai faktor. Faktor utamanya status yuridis yang lemah yang berakibat pada keterbatasan sumber daya (tenaga, fasilitas, dan sarana prasarana) dan anggaran. Faktor lain adalah adanya dualisme kepemimpinan, di mana Rektor secara ex officio sebagai kordinator Kopertais, berakibat fungsi kepemimpinan dan manajemen organisasi tidak efektif. Kata Kunci: PTAIS, mutu pendidikan, Kopertais, Sumatera Barat.

Abstract

Rohani Islam (Rohis) sebagai salah satu bagian dari pengembangan diri di sekolah mempunyai peranan penting dalam mempengaruhi siswa untuk mengembangkan dirinya menjadi pribadi yang cinta pada agama, bangsa dan negara. Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang Penanaman Budaya Damai Melalui Kegiatan Rohis di SMA Negeri 1 Cibinong Bogor, Jawa Barat. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara, pengamatan, dan studi dokumen, yang dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2018. Temuan penting peran Rohis sebagai salah satu wadah penanaman budaya damai adalah melalui beberapa strategi dan pendekatan, diantaranya: pertama pemberian pengalaman langsung, kedua pendekatan pembiasaan, ketiga pendekatan emosional, keempat pendekatan rasional, kelima pendekatan fungsional dan keenam, pendekatan keteladanan.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools as part of the education system have an important role and their presence is continuously needed in growing the values of the character of nationalism. In its development, there are 2 (two) types of Islamic boarding schools, namely Salaf and Salafi. Salafi Islamic boarding schools tend to have a Wahabi edeology and are known as “Radical” Islamic movement. The Darul Sunnah Al Atsary boarding school in Bekasi has different face, although it has a salafi characteristic, the cultivation of the character of nationalism continues to be carried out and development. The leadership is of the view that inculcating the character of nationalism for santri is very important. This is in accordance with religious teachings, that loving the country is part of faith and every muslim is obliged to have it. The approach is applied through habituation, indoctrination (clear and consistent rules), clarification (discussing about the good or bad things), role models from leaders and educators by placing themselves as facilitators, leaders, and parents and even places to rely on trust, as well as helping others to reflect. The form of activities for cultivation the character of nationalism is routine and temporary. Data were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation.
