Abstract

This backgound of the researchis because the low of student’s intellectual mathematicsability. The purpose is for knowing the difference result from increasing student’sintellectual mathematics abilty between student’s learning process by using media of statisticboard and student’s learning process by conventional way (it is used by teachers at school inlearning process). The research is the research of kuasi experiment. The design usesNonequivalent Control Grouph Design. In this research, the population is taken from theninth grade student’s SMPN 13 Cirebon. The technique of taking research sample ispurposive sampling. The sample is ninth grade, 38 students of 9.A that will be used asexperiment class, and 35 students of 9.E as control class. Based on the data of NormalityShapiro – Wilk result test pretest, pos-test and N_Gain in this result are normalitydistribution, and the result of Homogenity Levene’s test, pretest mark, post-test and N_Gainhomogen variety. After data is known normal varienty and homogen, so the next test is thedifference of post test on the average and it uses Inddependent sample t – test. The result ofthis Independent samples t – test has point of (1 – tailed) 0,001<0,05 it means H0 refused.And next the diffence on average test N_Gain and Independent sample t – test is got pointsig (1 – tailed) 0,0015 < 0,05, it is H0 refused. Mean while, based on the result of student’sobservation paper recapitulation get average score 43,43 from scala of 36 very goodcategory.Key Words: Media of statistic board (PANTIK) and mathematic Intellectual

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dankesadaran diri siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran matematika yang baru,pengunaan model Problem Based Learning dianggap cocok untuk meningkatkankemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan kesadaran diri siswa karena pada tahapanmenyelesaikan masalah siswa dituntut untuk mengeluarkan ide-ide yang baru dan siswadibebaskan untuk mencari sumber materinya sendiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitiankuasi eksperimen yang dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2017/2018, padatanggal 31 Juli – 31 Agustus 2017 di SMP Islamiyah Weru yang beralamat di Desa WeruLor Kecamatan Weru Kabupaten Cirebon, dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIsemester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Terdapat dua kelas yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol,dalam pelaksanaannya kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem BasedLearning dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model konvensional. Penelitian ini menghasilkanuji perbedaan nilai N-Gain kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis diperoleh nilai sig.(2-tailed) kurang dari 0,05 maka H0 ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan adanya perbedaanpeningkatan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol, dari hasil thitung sebesar 6,134dapat dikatakan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis yangmenggunakan model Problem Based Learning lebih baik dibanding dengan yangmenggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional dan hasil uji perbedaan nilai N-Gainkesadaran diri diperoleh nilai sig.(2-tailed) kurang dari 0,05 maka H0 ditolak. Sehingga dapatdisimpulkan adanya perbedaan peningkatan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol,dari hasil thitung sebesar 7,330 dapat dikatakan bahwa peningkatan kesadaran diri siswa yangmenggunakan model Problem Based Learning lebih baik dibanding dengan yangmenggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: Berpikir kreatif matematis, Kesadaran diri, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

This research is motivated by the poor ability of creative thinking mathematically, still infrequent use of the learning model and the lack of involvement of the student in the learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase mathematical thinking ability of students whose learning model Problem Posing with conventional learning. This study is a quasi-experimental research. The study design used Nonequivalent Control Group Design and its population is a class VII student of Al-Falah Depok Cirebon in academic year 2016/2017. Sample collection technique is purposive sampling, sample involving students of class VII, that 34 students of class VII A as an experimental class and class VII B of the 36 students as the control class. The results showed that: (1) There are differences in creative thinking ability of students learning mathematical model Problem Posing with students whose learning conventionally. (2) Enhancement of creative thinking ability of students learning mathematical model posing problem better than the increase creative thinking ability of students learning mathematical conventionally. Abstract

This research is motivated by the poor ability of mathematical reasoning and student motivation.The research is Quasi Experimental research. The research design is used NonequivalentControl Group Design. The population is class VIII SMP Islamiyah Weru Cirebon in academicyear 2016/2017. The technique in the research is Sampling Purposive. Sample involves eighthgrade students, the 33 class VIII A as an experimental class and class VIII B of the 36 studentsas the control class. Based on the result of the difference of the average of post-test using the testof Independent-Sample T Test equals Sig. (1-tailed) score 0,000 < 0,05 means Ho rejected, showthe ability of students learning mathematical reasoning using models SQ3R betterthan students whose learning conventionally. Then the difference of the average using ofN-gain using the test of Independent-Sample T Test equals Sig. score (1-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05means Ho rejected, show increasing the mathematical reasoning skills students arelearning to use the model SQ3R better than students whose learning conventionally.Keywords: SQ3R and ability of mathematical reasoning

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students 'mathematical literacy and dispositionin learning mathematics, and the need for the use of learning models that can improvestudents' mathematical abilities. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The researchdesign used is Nonequivalent Control Group Design and Purposive Sampling samplingtechnique. The population is grade VIII SMPN 2 Sedong, Cirebon Regency, Academic Year2018/2019. The research sample involved eighth grade students, namely 32 students of classVIII B as an experimental class and 32 students of class VIII A as a control class. Based on theresults of the study, show that: (1) the literacy ability of students who learn using PBL modelsis better than students who use conventional learning; (2) Improvement of students'mathematical literacy skills whose learning uses PBL models is better than students who learnconventionally; (3) The ability of mathematical disposition of students whose learning usesPBL models is better than students who learn conventionally; and (4) Improving students'mathematical disposition abilities using the PBL model is better than students who learnconventionally.Keywords: PBL, Literacy Ability, Mathematical Disposition

Abstract

This thesis entitled an effort to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts insolving problem solving through Polya. The purpose of this research is to know theimprovement of students' concept comprehension in solving the story problem through Polyaapproach. This research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is implemented inClass VII A MTs PUI Cilimus Lesson Year 2017/2018. Adapaun source data used is theobservation of students to know the development of student activities during learning andtests to determine the improvement of students' concepts in understanding the problem. Theresulting data will be analyzed by descriptive method. The theoretical basis used is thetheory of concept comprehension, problem solving and Polya approach. Based on dataanalysis done, it can be concluded that by using Polya approach in solving problem solvingproblem there is increasing understanding of student concept. This is evident from the resultsof the test in the second cycle of 48% of the initial test is only 30% and in the final testreached 78%. While the concept of students understanding also increased by 22.5% fromcycle 1 of 75% and cycle 2 of 97.5%. Therefore, the method of Polya approach is suggestedto be used to improve the concept of students in solving the problem solving problem.Keywords: Conceptual understanding, problem solving, Polya approach

Abstract

The research is based on the law of mathematics conceps understanding and the less of the students’s activation in learning process. The research is Quasi Experimental research. The research design is used Nonequivalent Control Group Design and sample collection technique is SamplingPurposive. The sample of the research is the 7th qraders39 student class 7th E is classes eksperimental and 39 student class 7th D is classes control. The population in the research is the students of class SMPN 2 Kapetakan Kabupaten Cirebon, academic year 2016/2017 The instrument used in the research is mathematics concept understanding skill test and student’s observation sheet. Test of the difference of the average of post-test using the test of Independent Sample T-Test equals sig (1-tailed) score 0,001< 0,05 means H0 ejjected. And then the difference of the average using of N-gain using the test of Independent Sample t-test equals sig score (1-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 means H0 ejjected. And then the test of the difference of the average of self confident using the test of mann whitney U test sig (1-tailed) score 0,0005< 0,05 means H0 ejjected. The research result shows that: (1). The improvement of mathematics conceps understanding skill which is using realistic mathematic educationis better than the students who are learning by conventional learning process. (2). self confident in those students who are learning by mathematic realistic mathematic educationis better than the students who are learning by conventional learning process. Abstract

This study aims to determine how the development of mathematics learning videos for Cartesian coordinate material assisted by YouTube social media as an alternative learning for students of SMP Negeri 1 Tengah Tani. The resulting YouTube social media assisted mathematics learning video has been developed with the Borg & Gall (1983: 775) model modified by Sugiyono (2017: 409). This study produces a mathematics learning video of Cartesian coordinate material assisted by YouTube social media as an alternative learning with the results of the assessment of material experts with an average score of 3,60 results from the curriculum experts with a score of 3.60 results from media experts with a score of 4.00 and the results of teaching teacher with an average score of 3.70 thus producing learning media with criteria "very valid". Products that have been validated by experts are then tested on students by filling in a response questionnaire to determine the level of attractiveness of the learning videos that have been developed and get an average score of 3.58 with the criteria "very interesting". Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to describe the algebraic thinking skills of junior high school students who were categorized as high and students' errors in solving algebraic problems on the surface area of ??a cube. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were three students from class VIII-3 of SMP Negeri 2 Pancalang who were categorized as high level. The instrument in this study is the researcher himself, using an algebraic thinking ability test to measure algebraic thinking skills and interviews to describe the results of the interview. The results of this study indicate that the algebraic thinking of students with high-level categories in solving mathematical problems with the surface area of ??a cube consists of generational, transformational, and global meta-levels. Students tend to do better in global and new generational meta-level activities than transformational activities. Keywords: Algebraic Thinking Ability, Cube Surface Area, Student Error. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa SMP yang berkategori tinggi dan kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah aljabar pada materi luas permukaan bangun kubus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah tiga siswa dari kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 2 Pancalang yang berkategori tingkat tinggi. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu peneliti itu sendiri, dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir aljabar untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir aljabar dan wawancara untuk mendeskripsikan hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan berpikir aljabar siswa dengan kategori tingkat tinggi dalam memecahkan masalah matematika materi luas permukaan kubus terdiri atas generasional, transformasional dan level-meta global. Siswa cenderung lebih baik dalam aktivitas level-meta global dan generasional baru kemudian aktivitas transformasional. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Berpikir Aljabar, Luas Permukaan Kubus, Kesalahan Siswa.
