Abstract

The success of national development will not be separated from the role of energy supply as a supporting facilitiy, as well as electricity. Given the potential of oil and gas energy are depleted, while coal which is abundant potential reserve but could bring a negative impact to the environment, the development of renewable energy resources for power generation is solution to achieve the national energy security. The utilization potential of solar power for electricity generation is a promising alternative, because a clean environment, unlimited resources and is available throughout the country. The tendency of diminishing the photovoltaic electricity generation cost as well as a variety of its applications to become a positive effect in the development of photovoltaic electricity generation. Integration of PLTS into the National Electrical system will require its own development strategy.

Abstract

As a developing country, currently the energy demand in Indonesia increases rapidly.Although Indonesia has a huge of oil reserves the production of oil fuels as the main energy consumption has not been enough and should be imported. It is devised to substitute oil fuel with other resources such as liquefied coal, natural gas, biofuels and dimethyl ether (DME). In the short future, the use of DME as an alternative fuel appears to be a promising approach for reducing the uses of diesel oil and LPG. It can be described in to two approaches. First, due to the high cetane number of DME, it can be used for compression ignition engines which have higher thermal efficiencies compared to spark ignition engines. Second, due to the physical properties of DME, it can substitute oil fuels and LPG uses in industries, commercials, and households for lighting and cooking. Hence, DME production is not limited to one feedstock. DME canbe derived from fossil fuel feedstocks, including natural gas and coal, as well as from renewable feedstock sources such as biomass. Since Indonesia have abundant of energy sources as DME raw material, such as natural gas, coal and biomass, utilization of DME into Indonesia energy system is necessary to be developed.Key words :Energy Potential, Dimethyl Ether, Diesel Oil and LPG Substitution

Abstract

Being located in the equator and also has bondaries with two tectonic plates, Indopnesia has various of energy resources, such as oil, coal, natural gas, as well as, renewable energy resources such as geothermal, solar, hydro, wind etc. In relation to the above mentioned conditions, Indonesia has a lot of potential to reduce greenhouse gas emmission through increasing the energy efficiency, fuel swiching, as well as utilization of CCS (carbon dioxide capture and storage) in the oil, gas and coal mining. Although Indonesia is not included in Kyoto Protocol’s country list, Annex I or Annex II, Indonesia is inclkuded among countries that had ratified the Earth Summit and the Kyoto Protocol. Therefore, it has a responsibility to help the developed country reduce their greenhouse gas emmission through application of environmental friendly technologies in the framework of Clean Development Mechanism.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the distribution pattern of gas-containing sediments in East Java. The potential for biogenic gas in East Java can be determined by creating a shallow reflection seismic profile. The research locations are Sumenep Regency and Gresik Regency. The shallow reflection seismic profile of Sumenep Regency shows that sequences A and B are penetrated by mud diapirs. New black clay was discovered in the Holocene–Pleistocene Pamekasan Formation. In Sumenep, the formation of biogenic gas and deposition of sediment as source rock and reservoir occurred over a short period of time so that gas production was insufficient. The biogenic gas content near the surface in black clay is low, so there is no potential for further exploration. The minimal potential for biogenic gas near the surface in the Sumenep Basin is caused by tectonic processes, stratigraphic conditions (estuary systems) and structures (small faults and mud diapirs) which influence the migration and accumulation pathways of biogenic gas. In Gresik Regency, the potential distribution of sediment containing biogenic gas can only be observed laterally and is very difficult to observe vertically. The gas deposits are estimated to be in the C order and are evenly distributed

Abstract

Komisi XI DPR RI perlu melakukan pengawasan kepada pemerintah agar tahapan pada road map pajak karbon dapat diimplementasikan dan pajak karbon dapat menjadi instrumen pengendalian iklim dalam mencapai pertumbuhan ekonomi berkelanjutan sesuai prinsip ‘pencemar membayar’.Kata Kunci: Mitigasi, Perubahan Iklim, Ekonomi AbstractClimate change has become the main cause of disasters that occur in almost all countries of the world. Forest and land fires (karhutla) are one of the disasters that occur due to climate change. These disasters often occur simultaneously in the European region during the summer, because extreme temperatures can aggravate forest and land fire disasters. Commission XI of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia needs to supervise the government so that the stages on the carbon tax road map can be implemented and the carbon tax can be an instrument of climate control in achieving sustainable economic growth according to the principle of 'pollutants pay'.Keywords: Mitigation, Climate Change, Economy
