Abstract

This research aimed to know the implementation of social studies learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI, Islamic primary school) and to know how to build environmental awareness through social studies learning at MI. This was a library research involving a variety of sources particularly books and journal articles on social studies learning. The journal articles on social studies learning ranging from 2009 to 2018 and books on social studies learning from 2005 to 2009 were analyzed and synthesized. The results showed that social studies learning in MI have been carried out conventionally where teachers teach only by the lecturing method, less use of media oriented towards social problems in students’ daily lives. Meanwhile, environmental awareness character in community technology science-based social studies learning in MI was done by providing a social issue or problem, observing or researching social problems to be discussed as problem exploration, applying the concept by providing solutions to problems, conceptualization and assessment.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of inclusive elementary education in Pati district. Data collection was carried out through interviews and observations of eight students with disabilities who attended inclusive elementary schools in Pati Regency, 6 teachers, and 3 school principals. Data analysis was performed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of inclusive basic education in Pati Regency is not under idealized conditions because in its implementation the school still limits students with disabilities who are accepted. Schools only accept those who have non-physical disabilities (intellectual disability, slow learning, and sensory disabilities). School considerations are: 1) easy in learning services; 2) worry if parents of non-disabled students refuse and move their children to another school; 3) there are obstacles in learning services because they do not have special support teachers and the lack of inclusive learning facilities and infrastructure.[Makalah ini meneliti pelaksanaan pendidikan dasar inklusif di kabupaten Pati. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap delapan siswa difabel yang bersekolah di SD inklusif di Kabupaten Pati, 6 guru, dan 3 kepala sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan dasar inklusif di Kabupaten Pati belum sesuai dengan kondisi yang diidealkan karena dalam pelaksanaannya sekolah masih membatasi siswa difabel yang diterima. Sekolah hanya menerima mereka yang mengalami disabilitas non-fisik saja (disabilitas intelektual, lambat belajar, dan disabilitas sensorik). Pertimbangan sekolah adalah: 1) mudah dalam layanan pembelajaran; 2) merasa khawatir jika orang tua siswa non-difabel menolak dan memindahkan anaknya ke sekolah lain; 3) adanya kendala dalam layanan pembelajaran karena tidak memiliki guru pembimbing khusus, dan kurangnya sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran inklusif.]

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to describe the practice of Science Education (IPA) learning at Islamic Elementary School (MI) and to develop the model based on Science Technology and Society (STS/STM) for building certain scientific attitudes. The qualitative approach was employed by searching data on the implementation of IPA learning through direct observation. The data are then analyzed descriptively. The results show that: 1) Science Education learning model based on Science Technology and Society gives students opportunity to conduct IPA process correctly and apply mutual relationship between IPA concept, technological progress, and life in society through five stages: invitation, exploration, explanation, consolidation of concepts or follow-up, and assessment; 2) Science Education learning model based on Science Technology and Society can build a scientific attitude and behavior of students to be sensitive, have a curiosity attitude, attitudes of proof, flexible attitude, critical attitude, caring attitude towards living creatures and environment, objective, honest, open, and cooperative. To strengthen and solidify the building process of this scientific attitude, it is conducted with a variety of relevant madrasa (school) activities through the habituation of activities beyond programmed science learning which include: building clean living habits in the madrasa environment; building park; performing reforestation; and fostering environmental sensitivity through community service programs in the village environment.

Abstract

Kenakalan anak merupakan wujud dari dinamika psikologis yang terjadi karena adanya tumbuh dan kembang yang dialami individu siswa yang mengarah pada terjadinya perilaku yang berbeda. Perilaku yang menyimpang yang dilakukan anak banyak disebabkan karena pengaruh dari luar atau teman sebaya.      Perilaku siswa yang menyimpang atau mengalami kenakalan dapat diperbaiki dengan perilaku yang baik melalui pemberian stimulus yang baik dengan memperkuat perilaku adaptif dan memeperlemah perilaku yang menyimpang dengan pengkondisian yang tetap. Konseling behavior merupakan upaya untuk mengatasi kenakalan siswa dengan menggunakan teknik desensitisasi sistemik, pelatihan asertif dan time out.Kata kunci: Mengatasi, Kenakalan siswa, pendekatan konseling behavioral.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) find out the types of mathematics learning difficulties experienced by MI students, 2) find out the factors that cause difficulty learning mathematics of MI students, and 3) know the concepts and understanding of mathematics to overcome the difficulties of learning mathematics at Students Islamic Elementary School (MI).The research method used in this study is qualitative. The subjects of this study were two math subject teachers and sixs students who indicated mathematics learning difficulties. While the data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with descriptive analysis with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.The results showed that: 1)Types of Mathematics learning difficulties experienced by MI / SD students include are, (1) low basic Mathematics skills relating to reading errors understanding the problem; transformation, answer writing process skills; (2) concept errors occur which include: errors in determining the theorem / formula, not writing theorem / formula; (3) procedural error, that is, the inability to manipulate the working steps of Mathematics and not using reasoning conclusions correctly; (4) computational errors that consist of errors in manipulating operations, and do not check the results of the calculation again; 2. Factors causing the difficulty of learning Mathematics MI students are, (1) internal factors, namely low interest and motivation to learn, low intellectual ability, and wrong perceptions of Mathematics, and not mastering the basic concepts of Mathematics; (2) external factors namely the teacher, the teacher lacks mastery of Mathematics material, the teacher does not understand the characteristics of students in learning, the teacher is less able to use active learning techniques, the lack of fulfillment of student books, the school environment is less supportive, and the community environment; 3. efforts to overcome the learning difficulties of MI students' Mathematics are, (1) building basic concepts of Mathematics and understanding proper Mathematics by teaching concepts, principles, with language that is easy for students and linking students' daily experiences; (2) re-teaching Mathematical concepts with theories or formulas that have been learned; (3) the development of students' intuitive thinking; (4) rebuild procedural Mathematics by repeating mathematical problems or problems by paying attention to facts, concepts, and principles that have been learned; (5) provide Mathematical remidial learning guidance. Keywords: learning difficulties, mathematics, islamic elementary school (MI) Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui jenis kesulitan belajar Matematika yang dialami siswa MI, 2) mengetahui faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar Matematika siswa MI, dan 3) mengetahui upaya mengatasi kesulitan belajar Matematika siswa MI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua guru mata pelajaran matematika dan 6 siswa yang terindikasi kesulitan belajar matematika. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1). Jenis kesulitan belajar Matematika yang dialami siswa MI/SD meliputi: (1) rendah keterampilan dasar Matematika yaitu berkaitan dengan kesalahan membaca soal, memahami masalah, transformasi, keterampilan proses penulisan jawaban; (2) terjadi kesalahan konsep yang meliputi: kesalahan dalam menentukan teorema/rumus, tidak menuliskan teorema/rumus; (3) kesalahan prosedural yaitu, ketidakmampuan memanipulasi langkah-langkah pengerjaan Matematika, dan tidak menggunakan penalaran kesimpulan dengan benar; (4) kesalahan komputasi yang terdiri dari kesalahan dalam memanipulasi operasi, dan tidak memeriksa hasil hitungannya kembali; 2). Faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar Matematika siswa MI adalah, (1) faktor internal yaitu minat dan motivasi belajar rendah, kemampuan intelektual rendah, persepsi yang salah terhadap Matematika, dan tidak dikuasainya konsep-konsep dasar Matematika; (2) faktor eksternal yaitu guru, guru kurang menguasai materi Matematika, guru tidak memahami karakteristik siswa dalam belajar, guru kurang mampu menggunakan teknik pembelajaran aktif, kurang terpenuhinya buku siswa, lingkungan sekolah kurang mendukung, dan lingkungan masyarakat; 3) upaya untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar Matematika siswa MI adalah, (1) membangun konsep dasar Matematika serta pemahaman Matematika yang tepat dengan mengajarkan konsep, prinsip, dengan bahasa yang mudah bagi siswa serta mengaitkan pengalaman sehari-hari siswa; (2) mengajar kembali konsep Matematika dengan teori-teori atau rumus-rumus yang telah dipelajari; (3) pengembangan berpikir intuitif siswa; (4) membangun kembali procedural Matematika dengan mengulang kembali soal-soal atau permasalahan matematika dengan memperhatikan fakta-fakta, konsep-konsep, dan prisip yang pernah dipelajari; (5) memberikan bimbingan pembelajaran remidial Matematika. Kata Kunci: Kesulitan belajar, matematika, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan inklusi sebagai layanan pendidikan yang menerima anak disabilitas bersama dengan anak normal di sekolah biasa dalam perjalannya masih banyak mengalami hambatan, baik terkait dengan kekurang siapanya guru, sekolah,dan masyarakat. Dalam rangka memberikan layanan pendidikan yang merata dan adil bagi anak disabilitas, maka perlu dipikirkan untuk membangun pendidikan inklusi di madrasah. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pelaksanaan inklusi di madrasah dan bagaimana model pendidikan inklusi di madrasah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) madrasah ini telah melaksanakan pembelajaran inklusi bagi siswa disabilitas, karena secara legal formal belum memiliki ijin operasional dari Dinas Pendidikan ataupun dari Kementerian Agama, maka dikatakan sebagai rintisan madrasah inklusi; 2) Model madrasah inklusi ini menggunakan model “pullout” yaitu anak disabilitas belajar bersama temannya di kelas regular dalam kelompok khusus, dan dalam waktu-waktu tertentu ditarik dari kelas regular ke ruang sumber untuk belajar dengan guru pembimbing khusus. Hal ini didasarkan pada pertimbangan: 1) anak disabilitas di madrasah ini termasuk anak lambat belajar; 2) memiliki kesulitan dalam belajar pada mata pelajaran tertentu sehingga perlu penanganan pembimbing khusus; 3) pada pelajaran yang  lainnya anak disabilitas ini masih bisa selesai pada kelas biasa.

Abstract

The disability children with their conditions, they have different self-concepts, they feel not perfect, low self-esteem, low self-perception causes a negative self-concept, then low self-concept results in low self-esteem and feelings of hopelessness. The aims of this study are to know and to understand the impact of self-perception and self-concept of children with disabilities who attend inclusive primary school. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative. The researcher collected the data using observation, documentation, and interview with 4 madrasa heads, 4 GPK teachers, 12 class teachers, 4 students, and 4 parents in 4 inclusive MI in Central Java. The data was analyzed using data display, data reduction, and clarification. The results showed that the self-perception and self-concept of children with disabilities who studied in inclusive madrasas becoming positive. The disability students can accept themselves consciously and sincerely for their strengths. They accepted their weaknesses and adapting well, learning with enthusiasm, and trying to improve their abilities. The urgency of this research is to give the understanding to parents and the community that by studying at MI inclusive the children with disabilities can be accepted, evenly distributed in education, receive good services, harmonious education, not differentiated, having good valued and fair education system.

Abstract

Procastination is a habit that is often carried out by final year students and is detrimental to academics. This research aims to: 1) knowing the causes of academic procastination of final year students; 2) know how to overcome academic procastination in final year students by building self-awareness through Islamic counseling. The method used in this research is field research with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses data display, data reduction and clarification steps. The research results show that;1) Factors that trigger academic procrastination in final year students are personality factors, namely self-interest and motivation, self-order, self-efficacy, low self-control, fear of failure, unimportant activities, lack of communication with supervisors, and cultural factors: 2) How to overcome the occurrence of student academic procastination with Islamic counseling, namely:(1) building self-awareness through 7 steps, namely repentance, wara', asceticism, qona'ah, gratitude, patience and sincerity;(2) strengthening aspects of student personality,(3) build good communication with the final assignment supervisor,(4) control the progress of the final assignment as feedback, provide humanist guidance, and strengthen awareness.
