Abstract

The health center has the task of providing health services to the community, to be able to win the competition among the existing health centers; a health center should have a good operating system, a computerized operating system to improve services in the field of administration. However, providing a computerized system is not enough, many other health centers or competitors also use a computerized system. Unfortunately, health centers in Indonesia have not yet implemented business intelligence application. There are many public and private health centers do not apply automated operational system. A study of the literature is conducted to find evidence of the application of BI, and any sector of the BI can be applied. Many sectors in health services where BI can be applied to improve the productivity quality of service and competitiveness in this era of globalization.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to build an independent language learning applications using Internet technologies to facilitate the user in learning the language. The research method used is by analyzing the ongoing learning process; analyze the constraints and limitations of existing facilities and designing new processes to address existing constraints and limitations. In designing a language self learning website authors examine the existing through observation, interviews and questionnaires to the stakeholders who use the system. Observations also observed duration of the user in conducting learning activities, and provided space to accommodate the transaction. After analysis of the current system, author designing the new system using object-oriented design methods and using analysis tools UML. After completed the system design done system built using ASP.NET programming language. The Conclusions is an independent language learning applications using Internet technology giving easy way to facilitate the learning process in terms of accesing time and place, and the application also provide facilities for teacher to monitoring student self learning.

Abstract

English proficiency can be measured through several tests that are recognized internationally like TOEFL. To measure the English proficiency of ‘Binusians’ with TOEFL standards and provide rapid and credible test results, an program design of online English test application (ATBIO) is created by displaying a random question, in which every examinee gets different questions. Prior to the design, first performed profile analysis of the questions in the TOEFL test held by Binus University Language Center. Following is the design of the program using standard UML 2.0 notation. Furthermore, the author submitted the draft to be built by the program developers using java script or ASP. With credible, fast and accurate results of ATBIO, it is expected that people, departments or organizations concerned with these test results can immediately make decisions and take necessary actions.

Abstract

Learning Object (LO) is a representation of interactive content that are used to enrich e-learning activities. The goals of this case study were to evaluate accessibility and compatibility factors from learning objects that were produced by using BINUS E-learning Authoring Tool. Data were compiled by using experiment to 30 learning objects by using stratified random sampling from seven faculties in undergraduate program. Data were analyzed using accessibility and compatibility tests based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level A. Results of the analysis for accessibility and compatibility tests of Learning Objects was 90% better than average. The result shows that learning objects is fully compatible with major web browser. This paper also presents five accessibility problems found during the test and provide recommendation to overcome the related problems. It can be concluded that the learning objects that were produced using BINUS E-learning Authoring Tool have a high compatibility, with minor accessibility problems. Learning objects with a good accessibility and compatibility will be beneficial to all learner with or without disabilities during their learning process. Abstract

The microservices software architecture is highly popular and commonly used in developing large-scale systems. Does this mean that microservices are superior, or could older architectures like monolithic be more adaptable to modern developments? The selection of software architecture is crucial to support overall system performance, quality, and user experience. Effective evaluation also plays a significant role in assessing system performance. In this paper, an evaluation matrix model is proposed, called 'DREAMS D,' comprising of seven vital components to test the quality of systems built using specific architectures. The focus is on microservices and monolithic architecture as our sample Software Architectures. The evaluation is conducted through a systematic review, and each architecture is scored based on factors such as Development, Response time, Error handling, Availability, Maintenance, Scalability, and Deployment. The result shows that microservices architecture scores higher in most evaluation criteria, suggesting better suitability for complex and adaptive systems. However, monolithic architecture may still be appropriate for simpler systems due to its lower cost and straightforward integration. This study provides a structured and measurable framework for assisting developers and organizations in making strategic decisions when choosing or transitioning between software architectures. The DREAMS D matrix can be used as a reference model for future evaluations or as a foundation for extending the framework to other architectural paradigms such as serverless or event-driven systems.

Abstract

The number of times students attend lectures has been identified as one of many success factors in the learning process in many studies. We proposed a framework of the student attendance system by using face recognition as authentication. Triplet loss embedding in FaceNet is suitable for face recognition systems because the architecture has high accuracy, quite lightweight, and easy to implement in the real-time face recognition system. In our research, triplet loss embedding shows good performance in terms of the ability to recognize faces. It can also be used for real-time face recognition for the authentication process in the attendance recording system that uses RFID. In our study, the performance for face recognition using k-NN and SVM classification methods achieved results of 96.2 +/- 0.1% and 95.2 +/- 0.1% accordingly. Attendance recording systems using face recognition as an authentication process will increase student attendance in lectures. The system should be difficult to be faked; the system will validate the user or student using RFID cards using facial biometric marks. Finally, students will always be present in lectures, which in turn will improve the quality of the existing education process. The outcome can be changed in the future by using a high-resolution camera. A face recognition system with facial expression recognition can be added to improve the authentication process. For better results, users are required to perform an expression instructed by face recognition using a database and the YOLO process.
