Abstract

As a reference in Islam, the Hadith structurally occupies the second position after the Qur'an. This is because the Qur'an is the word of God, while the hadith is the words of the Prophet. But in practice, both must be practiced together, because the hadith has an important function of the Qur'an, namely as a confirmation and explanation of Allah's statements in His book, as well as making rules or decrees that are not determined by Allah in the Qur'an. There are some verses that cannot be understood without going through the explanation of the hadith. With this important function, the study of hadith must continue to be developed, so that it remains an applicable guide throughout the ages.

Abstract

Almost every day, Corona has become a hot topic of conversation in various circles, both through the mass media and directly by word of mouth. The disease, which began to spread at the end of December 2020, is classified in the medical world as an infectious disease. This understanding is also circulating in the community.The widespread belief that there is a contagion on the one hand causes people to be careful in maintaining their health. But on the other hand, it resulted in very unfavorable conditions for those who happened to be victims. They are marginalized socially, and it is very logical that in reality there will also be marginalization in all other aspects of their lives.Therefore, this disease not only keeps the figures in the medical world busy, but also in the world of religious knowledge, especially in the field of the Prophet's hadith. This is because there are at least two traditions that talk about this kind of corona disease, one negates the transmission of the disease, while the other implies the opposite, namely an order to carry out physical distancing which indicates transmission.

Abstract

This study examines the differences between al-manhaj and al-ṭariq in the methodology of interpretation. The research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of these terms. A literature review approach was employed, analyzing relevant scholarly sources on the topic. Content analysis was conducted to compare the definitions and usage of al-manhaj and al-ṭariq in various tafsir works. The findings reveal that although al-manhaj and al-ṭariq have distinct appearances, they share the fundamental meaning of being methods or approaches to achieve a goal. However, their usage and emphasis differ in the field of tafsir methodology. Al-manhaj is closely related to the writing style, interpretive school, and general form of interpretation adopted by a mufassir and their tafsir book. On the other hand, al-ṭariq pertains to the research methods and steps used as a practical implementation of the manhaj. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the nuanced differences between al-manhaj and al-ṭariq in tafsir methodology. It highlights the importance of considering these terms in the field of interpretation. By clarifying their meanings and usage, this study provides valuable insights for scholars and researchers in the field of tafsir. It serves as a foundation for further exploration and discussion on the topic, ultimately enhancing the knowledge and understanding of tafsir methodology.
