Abstract

This study aims to compare the performance of Boyer-Moore, Knuth morris pratt, and Horspool algorithms in searching for the meaning of words in the Java-Indonesian dictionary search application in terms of accuracy and processing time. Performance Testing is used to test the performance of algorithm implementations in applications. The test results show that the Boyer Moore and Knuth Morris Pratt algorithms have an accuracy rate of 100%, and the Horspool algorithm 85.3%. While the processing time, Knuth Morris Pratt algorithm has the highest average speed level of 25ms, Horspool 39.9 ms, while the average speed of the Boyer Moore algorithm is 44.2 ms. While the complexity test results, the Boyer Moore algorithm has an overall number of n 26n2, Knuth Morris Pratt and Horspool 20n2 each.

Abstract

Management of human resources (HR) is important to achieve company goals. One of the activities in HR management is recruitment, selection, and training. Recruitment and selection are usually done not using a system so that the calculations are still done manually. But by processing data using the system can produce a decision in recommending prospective employees that can have a positive impact on the company. The company selection process is carried out through two stages: administrative selection and final selection in the form of psychological test assessment, interviews, ability tests and communication. The use of the Elimination Et Choix Traduisant La Realite (ELECTRE) method in the administrative selection stage and the Weighted Product (WP) method in the final selection stage is a new discovery made to get the best decision in accordance with the required criteria. By using this method the final results will be obtained namely the recommendation of several prospective employees who are fit to work in the company. The performance results of this system reach one hundred percent, the data from the system is in accordance with the expected calculation.

Abstract

Toddler nutritional status is an important factor in efforts to reduce child mortality. The development of community nutrition can be monitored through the results of recording and reporting of community nutrition improvement programs reflected in the results of weighing infants and toddlers every month at the Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (Posyandu/ Integrated Service Post) , where these efforts aim to maintain and improve health and prevent and cope with the emergence of public health problems, especially aimed at toddlers. However, in carrying out the health service activities of Medical Officers, faced with an important problem that is still difficult in providing information related to the results of monitoring the growth and development of infants, because information on growth and development of infants owned is obtained from the data collection done manually such as; make records and calculations to find out the condition of a toddler declared good, less, or bad. Implementation of the SMART method in Toddler's growth and development, this method can be used based on the weights and criteria that have been determined. The criteria used are based on the Anthropometric index assessment criteria. The results of the analysis are the results of ranking the greatest value to be used as the material in the decision-making process.

Abstract

Data quality plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and usefulness of information for decision making in higher education institutions. However, academic data within the SALAM application at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung has not previously undergone a systematic quality assessment, leading to uncertainty in several managerial and academic decisions. This study aims to evaluate the quality of academic data in the SALAM application using the Six Sigma method with the DMAIC (Define–Measure–Analyze–Improve–Control) framework. Five data quality dimensions completeness, consistency, conformity, uniqueness, and timeliness are employed to measure and analyze data quality performance. The measurement process begins with data definition and extraction, followed by quantitative analysis using sigma metrics. The results indicate that the overall quality of academic data is at a moderate level, with an average sigma score of approximately 3, primarily influenced by incomplete and inconsistent data. In contrast, the timeliness dimension demonstrates excellent performance, achieving a sigma metric of 6 due to the long-term availability of data over more than ten years. This study contributes by providing an empirical, data-driven evaluation of academic data quality and offers practical insights for implementing continuous monitoring and improvement strategies to enhance data reliability and support more effective decision making in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a handwritten Hijaiyah letter classification system for children aged 6–8 years using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The main problem in elementary education is the difficulty children face in recognizing and writing Hijaiyah letters due to the similarity of their shapes and variations in handwriting. The research process uses the CRISP-DM stages, consisting of problem understanding, data collection and preparation, modeling with SVM (GridSearch for hyperparameter tuning), and evaluation using a confusion matrix and f1-score. The dataset used consists of 2,100 images of handwritten letters from elementary school students. The results show that the SVM model with RBF kernel, C=10, and gamma="scale" achieved the highest accuracy of 83.57%. This study demonstrates that an SVM-based machine learning approach can assist in recognizing Hijaiyah letters, making it a practical solution for teachers in teaching Hijaiyah writing.
