Abstract

Organizations must be seen as an open system today. With the open-ended nature of leaders and leadership is a strategic factor in an organization. The process of leadership in organizations occurs because of the element leader. Leaders are human individuals. Meanwhile, the leadership is inherent to him as a leader. In this case, there are many theories about leadership styles are offered, all have strengths and weaknesses. Theories that are considered effective or superior are the theory of transformational leadership. Namely, a leadership approach to doing business alters consciousness, to excite and inspire subordinates or members of the organization to expend extra effort in achieving organizational goals without feeling pressured or stressed. From the description, assessment of transformative leadership is necessary, including development of leadership transformative with the focus of discussion: 1) the origin of transformative leadership, 2) development of the concept of transformative leadership, 3) the development of the definition of transformative leadership, 4) development of the implementation of transformative leadership in educational institution.

Abstract

Quality control has to design in educational institutions. The purpose of this study was to determine the concept of quality control of education at the International Standard Madrasah Amanatul Ummah Pacet Mojokerto, East Java. This research is qualitative research with a single case study model. The participants involved are 1) kyai, 2) madrasa heads, 3) vice coordinators of Madrasas, 4) ustadzor teachers in Madrasas, 5) students, and 6) alumni. The data collection process is 1) in-depth interviews; 2) participant observation; and 3) documentation studies. Data analysis data used l) data reduction, 2) data display; and 3) conclusion drawing/verification. The finding shows that the quality control process at the International Standard Madrasah Amanatul Ummah includes, 1) monitoring of activity programs is carried out in a coordinated and responsible manner; 2) a series of evaluations carried out intensely; 3) carry out control of order and program implementation continuously; 4) activity report in written form in the form of reporting and verbally in the form of directions; 5) carry out continuous monitoring. While transcendent control is a form of inherent supervision that is embedded in the religious spirit of each person relying on the Substance of the Almighty Creator. The control of improving the quality of education carried out by the Amanatul Ummah International Standard Madrasah is internal and transcendent control.

Abstract

Online learning and teaching are some of the appropriate learning concepts during the current Covid-19 pandemic. This research aims to get in-depth information about the implementation of zoom cloud meetings in the online learning process. This evaluation is carried out to get a solution to the problem while using zoom cloud meeting. The study used a qualitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used the stages of reduction, data presentation, data analysis, and concluding. The results showed that the students had difficulties in providing internet networks. Students want each zoom activity to be more interactive and can be varied with other technology applications. In addition, students also need a balance between quota facilities, internet networks, a variety of other learning media, and learning activities that suit student needs. The results of this study have implications for the development of online learning activities according to the ability of students' backgrounds.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the implementation of internal quality assurance of madrasah Aliyah Amanatul Ummah International Standard to improve the quality of education as one of the international-based madrasah. There were 30 participants involved in this study, of consisted of 1 kiai, 1 madrasah head, 1 deputy coordinator of madrasah, 27 teachers (ustads). They were selected by using purposive sampling. This research was a case study research design with a single case study model in qualitative research. The qualitative data were collected by using observation, documents and interviews. The data analysis technique used three activity flows that occurred simultaneously, namely, l) data reduction; 2) data display, and 3) concluding/verification. The results of data analysis indicated that the quality assurance process has an orderly flow by Standard Operating Procedures. The process started from setting evaluation standards, implementing evaluations, monitoring, self-evaluation, auditing internal academic quality as a whole, formulating corrections, and improving quality. This cycle was carried out continuously. Quality assurance improved the quality of Islamic education. It had a positive impact on sustainable quality assurance and the commitment of stakeholders to achieve quality education

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain e-learning management carried out by students at home during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is qualitative with a survey method. This study offered an in-depth analysis of student management in managing online learning during a pandemic. The learning management process applied by teachers and students has different ways. The participants were 100 students. The data collection process used observation, documents and interviews. The data analysis technique used is l) data reduction, 2) data display; and 3) concluding/verification. The results showed that student learning management during e-learning was not good because they experienced a decrease in the discipline. Some of these findings were delays in submitting assignments, being passive, not opening zoom videos, not utilizing online learning resources, and not preparing and reading materials. However, students still showed motivation to do group assignments and attend online classes. Overall, students are more comfortable studying offline than online. The results of this study have implications for the understanding of teachers to provide motivation during online classes and stimulate students so that online learning activities are like offline

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to obtain the implementation of control quality management for e-learning. This research was qualitative research through the method of description. The research was conducted at one of the Islamic State Universities in Tulungagung. Participants were lecturers from the Islamic Religious Education study program and the team in charge of higher education quality assurance (n=50). Data collection used documents, observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used were 1) data reduction, 2) data display, and 3) conclusion/verification. The results of the study concluded that the quality control of e-learning that needs to be considered by the quality assurance team is the quality of learning design, interaction and communication. In terms of content, assessment and evaluation, the human resources and technology systems are of high quality and meet the standards of online learning needs. The results of the research had implications for understanding the concept of implementing different educational quality assurance between e-learning and face-to-face learning.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the role of the family in the realization of student lifestyle on the campuses of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, and IAIN Kediri. Qualitative field research with a multi-case study approach was taken as the methodological perspective. In-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation were conducted to collect data. This article concludes that family plays a significant role in shaping the lifestyle patterns of students on the three campuses. The family as a social influence manager contributes greatly to determining the lifestyle of students when they are in the campus environment. The values, habits, and beliefs taught by the family since childhood greatly influence the lifestyle of students. Students’ lifestyles are also indicated to follow the habits of their immediate environment. Several obstacles in regulating student lifestyles were found. The campus has implemented some effective solutions so that student lifestyles remain by applicable ethics.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to examine the role of the family in shaping student lifestyle on the campuses of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, and IAIN Kediri. The methodological perspective adopted was that of qualitative field research with a multi-case study approach. In order to collect data, in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation were conducted. This article concludes that the family exerts a significant influence on the lifestyle patterns of students on the three campuses. The family exerts considerable influence over the lifestyle choices of students within the campus environment. The values, habits and beliefs instilled by the family during childhood have a profound impact on the lifestyle of students. Additionally, the lifestyles of students are influenced by the habits of their immediate environment. Several challenges were identified in regulating student lifestyles. The campus has implemented effective solutions to ensure that student lifestyles adhere to ethical standards.
