Abstract

This research aims to explore the political role of education in Indonesia and the problems encountered in its implementation and solutions to overcome. Close relationship Politics and education exist in a mutually related system in its implementation for improving the quality of education. Educators have always embraced politics because the educational process can provide value and contribute to political development. Having a high understanding of education politics is expected to contribute to controlling the direction of educational activities in Indonesia. The literature research method was used to obtain references related to the required data that is analyzed. It can be concluded that political viewpoint refers to the relationship between politics and government policies due to Indonesia's educational systems, strategies, and techniques. Various regulations, decrees, rules, administrative actions in education are part of the evidence of the political role of policies for education. Another view of politics is politics as a process, how the political performance takes place. This approach is more complex in concept and requires understanding how government processes work and how human behavior affects all these processes as a culture.

Abstract

This paper described the lecturers' community services in providing an online guidance of qualitative and quantitative research methods at STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan. This guidance was essential to add insight into scientific writing techniques, especially qualitative and quantitative research. The purpose of this guidance was to make both quantitative and qualitative easier to understand because students will not be away from using these methods. This training was accessible online. This guidance was enthusiastically welcomed by students, both from STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan and others.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan akulturasi budaya Minangkabau dengan transmigran Jawa dalam perkawinan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian etnografi yang akan mendeskripsikan dan menguraikan proses akulturasi budaya perkawinan secara kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan heuristik, kritik sumber, sintesis, dan interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akulturasi budaya perkawinan suku Minangkabau dengan transmigrasi Jawa di Kabupaten Solok Selatan-Sumatera Barat telah terlaksana dengan baik. Selain itu, akulturasi dalam perkawinan diterapkan dari penerapan adat dalam perkawinan dengan menggunakan adat campuran, sedangkan dalam resepsi perkawinan kedua mempelai juga mengenakan pakaian adat Minangkabau dan Jawa. Kata Kunci akulturasi, budaya, pernikahan, transmigrasi, Sumatera Barat Abstract This research is aimed to describe the acculturation of Minangkabau culture with Javanese transmigrants in marriage. This research was an ethnography research that would be described and elaborated the process of acculturation of marriage culture qualitatively. Data collection techniques are carried out by heuristics, source criticism, synthesis, and interpretation. The results showed that the acculturation marriage culture of Minangkabau with Javanese transmigration in South Solok Regency-West Sumatra was done well. Besides, the acculturation in marriage applied from the application of customs in marriage using mixed customs, while in wedding receptions, the bride and groom wear traditional clothes of Minangkabau and Javanese as well. Abstract

Academic supervision of the principal is an activity of coaching, observing, and assessing teacher performance in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to determine the academic supervision activities carried out by the principal of Al-Himmah Muara Tebo Kindergarten (TK) in improving the quality of teaching teachers. This research uses a qualitative approach involving the principal and 3 teachers. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The data were analyzed descriptively, that is, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that supervision has been carried out one to two times a year, and has been met the regulations. It improves the quality of teacher competencies, performance, and skills – which is seen in terms of learning processes and outcomes.

Abstract

The use of virtual reality (VR) technology in Islamic Religious Education learning in schools has become an interesting topic to improve studentsÔÇÖ understanding of religious concepts. This study explores the impact of virtual reality (VR) technology in simulating religious pilgrimage on studentsÔÇÖ understanding of religious concepts and teachersÔÇÖ perceptions. The research conducted used a case study design with a qualitative approach. The research setting was purposively selected at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 1 Kota Bengkulu. The subjects in this study were Islamic Religious Education teachers and students. The data in this study were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity testing in this study was carried out using the triangulation test method. Data analysis in this study adopted a descriptive approach involving several stages, namely data condensation, data presentation, and data conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed: that first, there was a positive acceptance from students towards using Virtual Reality (VR) technology in simulating religious pilgrimage, with many students feeling an enchanting and immersive experience. Second, VR plays a significant role in improving studentsÔÇÖ understanding of religious concepts, especially in understanding the historical context and spiritual meaning of holy places. Third, Islamic religious education teachers have a positive perception of the use of VR in learning. The teachers see VR as a tool for increasing student engagement and expanding the learning experience.
