<![CDATA[This study aims to review the work of students by experimenting with the use of natural purple sweet potato as the main ingredient in the dyeing process of batik cloth which was carried out by the researcher himself. As well as the stages of the process carried out in the manufacture of batik dyes, to find out how the results of batik coloring in terms of color evenness, color sharpness and color absorption by setting different soaking times. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive analysis technique with an experimental approach, by following the procedure the researcher describes the students' batik works using purple sweet potato dye and using different fixators. The results of the coloring experiment on purple sweet potatoes concluded that the best result among the three color locks was the lime fixator, this can be seen from the three data that have been assessed by the assessment team and also the researcher's own assessment.Penelitian ini betujuan untuk meninjau hasil karya siswa dengan melakukan eksperimen pemanfaatan bahan alami ubi jalar ungu sebagai bahan utama pada peroses pewarnaan kain batik yang dilakukan oleh peneliti sendiri. Serta tahapan-tahapan proses yang dilakukan dalam pembuatan pewarna batik, untuk mengetahu bagaimana hasil dari pewarnaan batik dari segi kerataan warna, ketajaman warna dan penyerapan warna dengan mematokkan waktu perendaman yang berbeda-beda. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen, dengan mengikuti prosedur peneliti menguraikan hasil karya batik siswa menggunakan bahan pewarna ubi jalar ungu dan menggunakan fiksator yang berbeda-beda. Hasil eksperimen pewarnaan pada ubi jalar ungu mendapatkan kesimpulan bahawa hasil yang paling baik diantara ketiga pengunci warna tersebut adalah fiksator kapur, hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari ketiga data yang telah dinilai oleh tim penilai dan juga penilaian peneliti sendiri. ]]>
