Abstract

This paper was summarised from two research carried out by the author. The aim was to analyze and determine the probability distribution of HIV incubation period so it can be used for estimation of HIV infection cases with EM Algorithm. The distribution was determined through the analysis of EM Algorithm resistance against the change of Weibull and Gamma parameters. Exponential distribution is a special form of Weibull and Gamma dirtribudons. In conclusion, the best distribution of HIV incubation period to use with EM Algorithm is Exponential distribution.

Abstract

Pemilihan model regresi terbaik adalah penentuan peubah bebas mana yang akan dimasukkan dalam model regresi sehingga model tersebut dapat menjelaskan perilaku peubah tak bebas dengan baik. Metode yang umum digunakan antara lain Stepwise dan Best Subset Regression. Metode Fraksi lebih diarahkan untuk penentuan model terbaik dengan kecenderungan multikolinear yang minimum. Dalam tulisan ini dikaji kelebihan dan kekurangan Metode Fraksi dibandingkan dengan Stepwise dan Best Subset Regression. Karena perbandingan ini difokuskan pada pemilihan model terbaik pada data yang memiliki masalah multikolinear maka contoh masalah yang diambil mewakili data dengan tingkat multikolinearitas yang tinggi. Hasil analisis terhadap kedua data tersebut dengan ketiga metode menunjukkan bahwa ketiga metode tersebut sama-sama dapat memberikan model terbaik. Kelebihan Metode Fraksi adalah mampu memberikan model terbaik yang memilki kecenderungan kolinearitas yang lebih rendah dari 2 metode lain. Sementara keharusan untuk mengambil fraksi merupakan kekurangan Metode Fraksi.

Abstract

Dalam teori peluang diperlukan penghitungan banyaknya anggota ruang contoh. Salah satu ruang contoh yang akan dihitung jumlah anggotanya adalah masalah yang dikenal dengan pembagian n benda ke dalam r tempat. Ruang contoh dihitung dengan rumus dengan n ³ r dan diperbolehkan adanya tempat yang kosong. Dalam penelitian ini tidak diperbolehkan ada tempat yang kosong. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode simulasi terhadap nilai n dan r. Berdasarkan simulasi dengan r £ n.

Abstract

Rancangan fraksi faktorial merupakan rancangan percobaan yang hanya menggunakan sebagian (fraksi) dari semua perlakuan. Karena penelitian ini hanya untuk rancangan faktorial 2n, fraksi yang digunakan berbentuk ½, ¼ dan seterusnya. Penggunaan fraksi ½ akan menghasilkan 2 kelompok perlakuan yang salah satunya akan diberikan pada unit percobaan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan pewarnaan graf untuk menentukan kelompok-kelompok perlakuan tersebut. Langkah yang digunakan adlah menggambarkan seluruh perlakuan sebagai titik-titik dalam suatu graf. Garis dibuat untuk menggabungkan titik-titik yang berbeda hanya pada taraf dalam satu faktor. Kemudian titik-titik graf diberi warna berbeda sesuai benyaknya kelompok yang akan dibentuk. Titik yang terhubung oleh garis tidak boleh memiliki warna yang sama. Kelompok perlakuan akan didapat dengan melihat warna titik. Titik-titik berwarna sama akan tergabung dalam satu kelompok.

Abstract

Soil respiration has been widely studied in relation to soil health and carbon sequestration. Respiration measurements are better performed in the field, either with in-situ static or dynamic systems. This study evaluated the recovery of coal post-mining land in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra, which is reflected from the ground surface indicators and soil respiration. Observations were carried out at PT Bukit Asam location represented by Muara Tiga Besar (MTB). Secondary forest was also used as a reference. The area had been revegetated generally with sengon, bamboo and acacia in 2000 (North MTB), while planting in 2005, 2006 and 2007 only with acacia interspersed with eucalyptus (South MTB). Soil samples were taken with a number of brass rings and then divided into 0-2, 2-5 and 5-10 cm depth. Respiration with inverted box technique used a solution of 0.5 M KOH. Revegetation increased significantly the organic carbon content from 0.96% to 1.96%, although still lower than organic carbon of the forest soil with the average of 2.81%. There was also a similar pattern found for total N and available P. It is evident that soil enrichment occurs in the 0-2 cm layer. In situ soil respiration showed no consistent increase with age of revegetation with values ranging from 670 to 767 mg CO2/m2 per hour, while the forest soil reaches 789 mg CO2/m2 per hour. Based on these facts we conclude that soil respiration can not be used as the sole indicator of recovery in coal post-mining land, thus needs to be combined with other variables.

Abstract

Academic potential test (TPA, GRE) is one of the test items used for selection, both for university admission and employee recruitment in various agencies. One group of people who are very likely to take TPA is high school students. Since TPA is not included in the final national examination (UAN), high school students pay less attention to their mastery of the TPA. In order to help them, coaching is needed to be done to provide understanding and mastery in solving TPA question effectively. The participation of teachers in this training is intended to sustain the results of the activities as they will be able to foster students of the next generation. The training was held at PGRI Inderalaya High School. There are 29 participants consisting of 7 teachers and 22 students of Class 12. Participants were guided to recognize, understand, and analyze each form of questions. Then the method of solving problems effectively is discussed. The types of questions that are discussed are verbal, series, logic, and images. Based on the pretest and posttest with the same questions, it was significantly concluded that participants were able to absorb the training material and use it at the posttest.

Abstract

R is a very useful software in statistical analysis. Its open-source nature makes it easy for users to download and use it freely. Its relatively small size allows R to be installed and used on a laptop because it doesn't use much laptop memory. Users are also facilitated to learn statistical analysis using R because there are many learning resources available which are also easily accessible. But the existence and ease of this has not been widely known by users of statistical analysis. To further introduce R to the public using statistical analysis, R training was conducted through the community service program (PPM) of Sriwijaya University. In this training, the introduction of R along with its potential use and development was carried out in statistical analysis. Participants were guided while practicing. The material studied included downloading and installing R, adding packages, calling data, naming and determining variable values, as well as some simple statistical analyzes. Statistical analysis studied descriptive, regression, and ANOVA. During training, participants can already download, install, and use R in accordance with the training material. For further use according to the needs of the participants, they are given some reference materials contained in a flash disk. In addition participants were also shown how to search for the required syntax via the internet.

Abstract

During the pandemic, teaching and learning activities in Indonesia were carried out online. Apart from online learning activities, the learning evaluation process is also carried out online. Computer applications can be used as a tool to carry out learning evaluation activities. In this service, training is given to make online exams using google form. The training participants were 32 teachers with undergraduate educational backgrounds consist of elementary, junior high school, senior high school public and private school teachers in Pampangan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering district, South Sumatra. The training activities are carried out for one day. The activity stages consist of the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. Based on the results at the implementation and evaluation stages, it can be concluded that participants in online exam preparation training activities can make online exams using google form. Selama masa pandemi kegiatan belajar mengajar di Indonesia dilakukan secara online atau dalam jaringan. Selain kegiatan pembelajaran online, proses evaluasi pembelajaran juga dilakukan secara online. Aplikasi komputer dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu untuk melaksanakan kegiatan evaluasi pembelajaran. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini diberikan pelatihan membuat ujian online dengan menggunakan google form. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 32 orang guru dengan latar belakang pendidikan sarjana yang terdiri dari guru sekolah dasar, sekolah menengah pertama dan sekolah menengah atas negeri dan swasta di Kecamatan Pampangan, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir, Sumatera Selatan. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan selama satu hari. Tahapan kegiatan terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil pada tahap pelaksanaan dan evaluasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta kegiatan pelatihan penyusunan ujian online dapat membuat ujian online menggunakan google form.

Abstract

Lungs are one of the most important parts of the human body. They are very susceptible to various disorders and diseases. For this reason, it is necessary to detect or diagnose the lungs. In this study, we present a method for lung segmentation using the CNN method U-Net architecture. The initial stage was pre-processed did a 1-1 correspondence to equalize the amount of training data and testing data and resized the image so all images have the same size. The process continued with the CLAHE (Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization), and after that, the segmentation process was carried out according to the method. This study used a dataset from the Kaggle website. The results used the CNN method of the U-Net architecture in data get an average accuracy of 91.68%, sensitivity 92.80%, and specificity 89.15%, precision 95.07, and F1-Score 93. 92%. Based on the performance evaluation results, it was concluded that the method proposed in the study is great and valid in the lungs segmentation on X-Ray Thorax images.

Abstract

Climate is one of the conditions needed by plants to increase production. Climate change, especially on rainfall has a significant effect on agriculture because it has a strong dependence on the climate element. Rainfall is one of the climate factors that play a role in supporting the availability of water. Conditions in areas with high rainfall intensity can cause the loss of flowers and fruit, and if there is a long dry season it will affect flowering on plants. This study aimed to determine the effect of rainfall on L. domesticum production for 10 years (2010-2019). The study was conducted in OKU and OKI Regencies. The analytical method used is multiple linear analysis and correlation analysis. From multiple linear analysis and correlation analysis results, there was a fluctuation in the intensity of rainfall for 10 years (2010-2019). Based on the regression analysis, rainfall in June for OKU Regency had a significant effect on L. domesticum production while for OKI Regency the significance occurred in December.
