Abstract

Children often have problems with snacks. They need health education to be able to choose healthy foods to meet optimal nutritional intake. This study aims to see the effect of using picture book media on increasing knowledge about healthy culinary tourism at Public Elementary School Gedongkiwo Yogyakarta. This type of study is quasi-experimental research. The survey designed is One Group Pretest Post Test Design. The research participants were 25 grade 2 elementary school students. The data analysis technique used the Paired Sample T-Test statistical test. The result obtained is that picture books do not affect knowledge about healthy culinary tourism (p-value 0.770> 0.05). A total of 9 students experienced a decrease in their level, seven students experienced an increase, and nine students did not experience a reduction or increase in knowledge. It is possible because the method used is combining lectures with visual story media during class. The conditions are different if students read pictorial stories themselves during leisure time. The next researcher will be able to study using a more simple method, for example, while having group discussions so that there is a two-way exchange of information.

Abstract

The potential of Temuwuh Village in producing food is very good, so innovation on available food is needed. Generally, people process food such as cassava, ginger and tempeh in a simple way. Therefore, UK KKN students are moved to empower the community by providing training on making cakes made from mokaf flour, ginger powder and tempe nugget. The purpose of this training is to provide knowledge and business skills for the people of Temuwuh Village. The method of implementing the training includes the activities of nutrition counseling and product manufacturing practices. The impact of this activity is the increase of public knowledge about how to process the food and the development of a business prospect.

Abstract

Perokok pasif akan menerima efek asap rokok yang tidak sedikit pada kesehatannya. Berdasarkan hasil survey pendahuluan, terdapat 56,76% anggota keluarga yang merokok di RT 06 Dusun Ponegaran, Desa Jambidan, Banguntapan, Bantul. Sebagain besar perokok merokok didalam rumah. Hal ini akan berdampak pada anakanak sebagai perokok pasif. Tujuan kegiatan adalah mengedukasi tentang dampak paparan asap rokok orang lain pada perokok pasif, agar mereka dapat terhindar dari paparan asap rokok. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan menggunakan media leaflet yang dilakukan dengan mengujungi rumah warga satu per satu (door to door). Materi kegiatan yang disampaikan meliputi dampak paparan asap rokok orang lain pada perokok pasif, dampak ekonomi akibat konsumsi rokok dan peran keluarga dalam pengendalian perilaku merokok. Masih perlu adanya penyuluhan atau intervensi tentang dampak akibat merokok, dampak paparan asap pada perokok pasif maupun aktif, dan pengendalian terhadap perilaku merokok. Mengingat bahaya rokok terhadap kesehatan bagi masyarakat. Diharapkan agar kader atau tenaga kesehatan dapat memberikan penyuluhan dengan frekuensi yang lebih sering dan ditambahkan materi mengenai rumah bebas asap rokok.
