Abstract

Children with cerebral palsy at rehabilitation centers had difficulty performing walking rehabilitation with the existing walker. The resulted in children with cerebral palsy feeling dissatisfied with existing walkers, and this dissatisfaction resulted in their interest in ongoing rehabilitation. The existing walker does not accommodate the needs of cerebral palsy children, resulting in lousy form and dissatisfaction when using a walker for rehabilitation and reduce their interest in rehabilitation. Therefore it is necessary to redesign the walker to prevent bad form and increase the satisfaction level of children with cerebral palsy. The QUEST 2.0 questionnaire was used as a reference for designing. Based on the dimensions from the QUEST 2.0 questionnaire, the walker design criteria were determined. Then use the TRIZ method to resolve any technical contradictions that occur at the design stage. Assistive device

Abstract

Development of prosthetic hands continues to be made to get prosthetic which has special characteristics, namely anthropomorphism. The anthropomorphic prosthetic design refers to the improvement and development of the design to the stage of the similarity of the prosthetic movement to human hand movements. This study carries the design of the anthropomorphic 1-DOF prosthetic finger mechanism to get prosthetic at an affordable price. The optimization criteria for the similarity of movement with the human hand are formulated with two objective functions, namely the similarity of the range of motion and the total length of the finger that is completed simultaneously. The human hand movement that is a reference is the movement of conical object grasping on a standard size conical according to the maximum hand-held diameter anthropometry of an Indonesian people.

Abstract

The process of moving an item in the industrial world has an influence on productivity produced by the company. The company's productivity can be supported by using a conveyor when the transfer process takes place. This study aims to determine the extreme position of the conveyor lift segment mechanism using the kinematic system. The method used is an analytical analysis method with a kinematic system using SAM 6.0 software. The stages of the research process are measuring conveyor segments, drawing kinematic diagrams, depicting movement mechanisms, calculating degrees of freedom (DoF), calculating geometry, and ending the stroke link follower measurements. The results of the study resulted in a degree of freedom that is 1 which shows the movement of the conveyor freedom only 1 direction, and the calculation result of follower link stroke is 22.6o which shows the maximum range that can be done from the movement of the conveyor lifting segment.

Abstract

Industry requires educational institutions as providers of labor to continue to optimize the learning process on material that is in harmony with existing cases in the industrial world. The Industrial Engineering Study Program of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta (PSTI-UNS) has sought these demands by implementing integrated practice learning with the learning factory concept approach. Identification of design needs was obtained after observations and evaluations of the learning process on PTI Practicum 3. This study contains requirements in designing tools to accommodate lab work in linear PTI Practicum manuals. The tools needed include storage, hand trolleys, storage racks, and work stations. Abstract

Tingginya waktu proses dan defect pada produksi rambak kulit sapi menyebabkan IKM rambak tidak dapat memenuhi permintaan pasar. Permasalahan waktu yang tinggi pada proses pengungkepan menyebabkan kelelahan pekerja sehingga pengadukan menjadi tidak konstan dan rambak mengalami pecah (defect) dengan tingkat defect mencapai 20% dari hasil produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mereduksi waktu dan defect pada pengungkepan dengan merancang alat pengaduk berbasis TTG menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif. Alat pengaduk yang dirancang memiliki 5 komponen utama yaitu rangka, penggerak, transmisi, speed reducer, dan pengaduk. Kelayakan dalam pembuatan alat dianalisis menggunakan perhitungan investasi dengan nilai payback period (PBP) 0,427 bulan, net present value (NPV) Rp 149.296.091,76, internal rate return (IRR) 32% dan profitability index (PI) 26,07. Hasil rancangan kemudian dinyatakan dalam bentuk fisik dan diterapkan pada IKM rambak kulit sapi “Pak Dul” Jagalan, Surakarta. Dari pengujian alat didapatkan hasil putaran adukan 20 rpm dengan beban maksimal 15 kg dan nilai torsi 423,15 kg.cm. Hasil rambak pengungkepan jam ke-4 dengan alat memiliki nilai kualitas hampir sama dengan hasil rambak pengungkepan manual 7 jam. Sedangkan tingkat defect menurun 15%, produktivitas meningkat 15%, kuantitas produksi meningkat 50% dan profit meningkat 65%.

Abstract

Abstract.  Honey is a natural food product from a sweet viscous substance formed from flower nectar by honey bees. Honey processing using the pasteurization method has limitations, one of which is temperature. As a result, fungi and spores present in honey have not been eliminated. Non-thermal technology (NTT) is a solution to this limitation, because NTT is a process that applies little or no heat, with the aim of food receiving microbial inactivation, and can extend life, maintain physical quality, nutrition, and sensory freshness. NTT is commonly used in industry, namely in High-Pressure Processing (HPP), Pulsed Electric Field (PEF), Pulsed Light, Cold Plasma (CL), and Ultra Sound (US). Adjustment to the characteristics of honey is the reason for choosing non-thermal technology. The selection was carried out using the MCDM method, which integrates AHP-TOPSIS. The result is PEF being the selected NTT with a relative closeness of 0.773.

Abstract

Praktikum adalah suatu kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan di laboratorium untuk memahami kondisi sebenarnya dari materi kuliah atau pelajaran yang telah disampaikan oleh Dosen maupun Guru. Praktikum Perancangan Teknik Industri II (PPTI II) adalah salah satu kegiatan praktikum yang dilaksanakan di Program Studi Teknik Industri Fakultas Teknik UNS yang melaksanakan kegiatan manufaktur dan mempunyai bernagai risiko kecelakaan kerja. Untuk megetahui tingkat risiko kecelakaan kerja pada PPTI II maka dilakukan analisis keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) dengan melakukan Identifikasi dan penilaian risiko kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) dalam mengidentifikasi risiko dan melakukan penilaian risiko melalui pengamatankegiatan praktikum dan wawancara terhadap 10 orang asisten dan 12 praktikan. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi dan penilaian risiko diperoleh hasil bahwa nilai risiko paling tinggi adalah kebisingan sebesar 67% dilanjutkan dengan luka tergores sebesar 22% pada risiko level tinggi dan 38% pada level menengah.

Abstract

Postur tubuh tidak ilmiah dan berlangsung dalam jangka waktu lama dapat mengakibatkan kelebihan beban pada otot. MSDs merupakan keluhan yang sering dijumpai di tempat kerja yang berhubungan dengan kekuatan dan ketahanan manusia dalam melakukan pekerjaannya. Polishing Dies merupakan pekerjaan manual yang berisiko terkena MSDs, seperti cidera pada bagian otot, syaraf, low back pain, dan persendian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan penilaian dan rekomendasi evaluasi perbaikan postur kerja dengan perancangan alat bantu proses pada stasiun polishing dies untuk meminimalisasi keluhan MSDs menggunakan metode REBA. Hasil penilaian postur kerja operator polish­ing dies menunjukan skor REBA 9 yang berarti level risiko tinggi dan perlu dilaku­kan per­baik­an secepatnya. Upaya perbaikan dilakukan melalui rancangan alat bantu proses polish­ing dies berupa adjuster table. Adjuster table memiliki fitur tinggi meja yang dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan operator serta meja yang dapat diputar sehingga memu­dahkan proses poles keseluruh bagian dies. Adjuster table diharapkan dapat memperbaiki postur kerja operator serta membuat proses polishing dies lebih efektif dan efisien.
