Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada anak usia sekolah di kawasan Asia Tenggara yang menderita karies gigi kira-kira mencapai 70%. Provinsi Kalimatan Selatan dimana angka tingkat masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada tahun 2013 yaitu 36,1% meningkat menjadi sebesar 60% di tahun 2018 yang menerima perawatan dan pengobatan. Peneliti ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan upaya pencegahan karies gigi pada usia sekolah di SDN Telaga biru 6 Banjarmasin. Metode deskriptif korelasional pendekatan Cross Sectional. Populasi sampel penelitian berjumlah 80 orang, teknik total sampling. Analisisi data uji Spearman’s rho. Pada faktor pengaturan makanan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan pada upaya pencegahan karies gigi, faktor frekuensi menyikat gigi ada hubungan yang signifikan pada upaya pencegahan karies gigi, faktor pemeriksaan ke dokter gigi ada hubungan yang signifikan pada upaya pencegahan karies gigi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dan memberikan masukan ke pada SDN Telaga Biru 6 Banjarmasin untuk membuka program pelayanan kesehatan Usaha Kesehatan Gigi Sekolah di SDN Telaga Biru 6 Banjarmasin agar siswa siswi bisa merawat gigi mulai sejak dini dalam pencegahan karies gigi dan tidak terjadinya kerusakan gigi yang parah. Abstract In school-aged children in the Southeast Asian region who suffer from dental caries is approximately 70%. South Kalimantan Province where the rate of dental and oral health problems in 2013 was 36.1% increased to 60% in 2018 who received care and treatment. This researcher aims to determine the factors associated with efforts to prevent dental caries at school age at SDN Telaga Biru 6 Banjarmasin. Descriptive correlational method of Cross Sectional approach. The study sample population numbered 80 people, the total sampling technique. Analysis of Spearman's test data. In the food management factor, there is no significant relationship in the effort to prevent dental caries, the frequency of tooth brushing factors is a significant relationship in the effort to prevent dental caries, the factor of the examination to the dentist is a significant relationship in the effort to prevent dental caries. The results of this study are expected and provide input to SDN Telaga Biru 6 Banjarmasin to open a health service program School Dental Health Efforts at SDN Telaga Biru 6 Banjarmasin so that students can take care of their teeth from an early age in preventing dental caries and avoiding severe tooth decay.

Abstract

Dental and oral health is an integral part of overall health so it needs to be cultivated throughout the community. Pulpitis is a disease that commonly occurs in teeth. The purpose of this study was to determine factors associated with the type of pulpitis in school-age children in the dental clinic at the Mabu'un Health Center in Tabalong Regency. This study has a cross sectional design. The sample in this study were 31 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis uses Chi-square test. The results of research on the most sexes with a women category was obtained 17 respondents (54.8%). The habit of brushing the most teeth with a enough category was obtained 20 respondents (64.52%). Behavior Maintenance of oral and dental health most with a enough categories was obtained by 24 respondents (77.43%). The highest incidence of pulpitis with a reversible category was obtained by 29 respondents (93.55%). There is no correlation between sex with the type of Pulpitis in school-age children. There is a correlation between the habit of brushing teeth on the type of Pulpitis in school-age children. There is a correlation between oral and dental health care behaviors towards pulpitis types in school-age children.
