Abstract

The problem of the research is whether the effort of learning using method TPS can improve the student activity and achievement in class VII D MTs. YP. Nurul Huda Tanah Abang Palembang. The aim of the research is to design and apply the TPS in VII D class of MTs. YP. Nurul  Huda  Tanah  Abang  Palembang  to  improve  the  student’s activities and  achievementsin math. The researcher did a class action research through two cycles. Each  cycles consist of: planning, action, observation and reflection. The technique of data collection is through observation, questioner and test. The researcher analyzes the data using test validity and reliability. The result of  is  research  is  there  is  an  improvement  of  the  student’s  activities   and achievement by applying the method TPS in math.
