Abstract

This research aims to learn effective promotion strategies in attracting people on the island to learn through distance learning at UT. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach. Research data obtained from secondary data that has been available on the UT SIPELAPOR application. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the majority of students first got information about UT, namely 1,399 students (48.76%) through friends, 575 students (20.04%) through families, and 388 students (13, 52%) through the Site UT Web. From this data, it can be concluded that: (1) Word of mouth promotion strategies (WOM) are very appropriate in promoting distance learning on islands. (2) Word of mouth (WOM) can be done in two ways, first, the hearing is done by visiting directly to market segments. The second is to utilize online social media (e-WOM). This study has implications aimed at UT management in improving promotional communication through WOM. So that the target of increasing the number of students is realized. This study shows how to determine the strategy of promoting education through WOM in accordance with the characteristics and geographical conditions of UPBJJ in the archipelago in an effort to increase the number of students.

Abstract

Government Marketing Communication Model: Promotion Mix For Tourism Destinations In West Halmahera District. As One Of The Districts In North Maluku province, West Halmahera Regency has tourism potential, which is rich in beauty on land and at sea. Therefore, to introduce tourism potential to the community, a Marketing Communication Model in the Government is needed (Promotion Mix of Tourist Destination Areas in West Halmahera Regency). This study aimed to determine the integrated marketing communication strategy of the West Halmahera Regency Tourism Office in attracting tourists. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and the final step is concluding. The results found that the West Halmahera Regency Tourism Office's integrated marketing communication strategy uses four promotional mixes. Namely advertising (advertising), public relations (public relations), personal promotion (personal selling), direct marketing (direct marketing), and interactive marketing

Abstract

Pola komunikasi Pelayanan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Maluku Utara adalah upaya membangun pelayanan yang efektif, Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya bahwa adanya hubungan antara pandangan negatif dengan efektifitas pesan yang disampaikan oleh pegawai terhadap mahasiswa. Semakin tinggi pandangan negatif mahasiswa terhadap komunikasi pegawai administrasi pada saat melakukan pelayanan, maka semakin rendah pula efektifitas pesan yang disampaikan oleh pegawai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pola Komunikasi Pegawai dalam pelayanan administrasi kepada mahasiswa dan untuk mengetahui Pola komunikasi Universitas dalam melakukan pembinaan tentang Komunikasi efektif pegawai kepada Mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, dan analisis data menggunakan pendekatan konsep pola komunikasi sebagai pelayanan public untuk menghasilkan pelayanan yang efektif. Hasil penelitian adalah Pola komunikasi digunakan oleh Universitas dalam bentuk Komunikasi Formal dalam rapat-rapat resmi dan non-formal seperti dalam bentuk Komunikasi antarpribadi dengan maksud merubah dan membentuk komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal yang lebih baik kepada pegawai dalam melakukan pelayanan dan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terjadi disetiap uni kerja umum dan program studi selain itu terdapat Pola Komunikasi Multi arah, melalui Rapat pengambilan keputusan, pembahasan permasalahan dari setiap unit yang dilakukan dalam bentuk kelompok dengan melibatkan semua pihak yang memiliki kewenangan penyelesaian masalah.

Abstract

Dramaturgy is a view of social life as a series of drama performances in a stage. The term Dramaturgy is thick with the influence of drama or theater or fictional performances on stage where an actor plays other human characters so that the audience can get a picture of the life of the character and be able to follow the storyline of the drama being presented. Dramaturgy can be seen from the way a person communicates. Effective communication can affect other people's perceptions of us. We want other people to give good judgment, at least have the impression that we are consistent with the purpose of communicating to them. The purpose of this study is to describe communication patterns in the perspective of dramaturgical theory. The methodology used is a descriptive qualitative approach to the literature study method. The results of this study indicate that effective communication patterns can influence other people's perceptions of us. When humans interact with each other, they want to manage the impression that they hope to grow on other people towards them. For this reason, everyone performs for others, which is called the dramaturgical approach. This action is actually very natural, meaning that it is not always an attempt to pretend or deceive other people. Because even though some of our behavior may be pretend, we also know that we have different social roles for different people and situations, which will affect our behavior when communicating

Abstract

Rendahnya minat baca masyarakat disebabkan karena keterbatasan akses pada bahan bacaan. Maka tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yaitu membentuk Taman Baca Masyarakat untuk mendekatkan akses bahan bacaan kepada warga. Pembentukan Taman Bacaan Masyarakat di Kalumata dilakukan secara bertahap yaitu tahap penyadaran, pengkapasitasan, dan pendayaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskritif. Melalui metode ini akan dijelaskan bagaimana tahapan-tahapan dalam pendirian taman bacaan masyarakat. Unit Analisis terdiri dari elemen pemuda, pemerintah, tokoh masyarakat, dan Forum Taman Bacaan Masyarakat Maluku Utara. Metode pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik Analisis Data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan bahwa pada tahap penyadaran ditemukan adanya kemauan dan semangat yang lahir dari dalam kelompok pemuda di kelurahan Kalumata untuk membentuk taman bacaan masyarakat. Namun masih dibutuhkan peran eksternal untuk memberikan pendampingan yaitu melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat dari Universitas Terbuka UPBJJ Ternate. Tahap pengkapasitasan dilakukan dengan memberikan pendampingan untuk pelembagaan taman bacaan masyarakat, sosialisasi, dan pelatihan. Tahap pendayaan kelompok mitra dilakukan dengan memperkenalkan dan mengikutsertakan pengurus TBM dalam berbagai kegiatan komunitas literasi di Ternate dan Maluku Utara sebagai bentuk pembentukan jaringan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan kegiatan di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of marketing communications at the Tourism Office of West Halmahera (Halbar) on the decision of domestic tourists to choose a tourist destination for Halbar. In this study apply the theory of Integrated Marketing Communication. The subjects of this study were domestic tourists who were exposed to marketing communications carried out by the Halbar Regency Tourism Office with the age provisions of 20 -5i years. The research sample amounted to 100 respondents. Survey is the method used in this study with a questionnaire as an instrument to collect data. Where variable X is Marketing Communication and variable X is the decision of domestic tourists. The analysis technique uses a distribution table, while to test the hypothesis using Correlation-Rank-Order, significant test uses t-test, and calculates the Strength of Influence (KP). The results of the study indicate that the hypothesis proposed by the researcher is that there is an influence of marketing communications from the Halbar Tourism Office on the decision of domestic tourists to choose an accepted tourist destination (0.396), with the results of the calculation of rho (rs) = 0.396, it can be stated that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. the. Based on the results of the t-test, the correlation obtained is significant, meaning that the marketing communication of the Halbar Regency Office affects the decisions of domestic tourists. Furthermore, to calculate the power of influence (KP), namely the influence of the relationship between the marketing communications of the Halbar Regency Tourism Office on the decisions of domestic tourists, it is 15.68%.

Abstract

This research discusses the Kololi Kie ritual process, a traditional ceremony of the Sultanate of Ternate, in terms of symbolic interaction theory. The Sultanate of Ternate, as an integral part of Indonesia's cultural heritage, carries outthis ritual as a form of symbolic interaction with the people of Ternate. Symbols such as boats, traditional clothing,traditional music, and historical places are used in rituals to communicate with the community and convey certain meanings and messages. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature studies, exploring supporting sourcesregarding the Kololi Kie ritual process and symbolic interaction theory. The research results show that symbols such as boats, traditional music and historical places play an important role in creating meaning and building relationships between the Sultanate of Ternate and its people. These symbols are also a means of conveying messages aboutprotection, safety and gratitude. In the context of symbolic interaction theory, symbolic communication in the Kololi Kie ritual reflects the community's collective meaning of the greatness of the sultanate and the importance of maintaining ancestral traditions. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to further understanding of the role of symbols in cultural rituals and how these symbols play a role in maintaining and passing on cultural valuesfrom one generation to the next.
