Abstract

The unemployment rate in Indonesia continues to increase. This is one of the main problems of economic development in Indonesia. According to BPS data, in November 2017, the unemployment rate in Indonesia reached 5.50% while economic growth in the third quarter of the same year was 5.03%, an increase from 4.79% in 2014 which is the lowest growth in the last six years. Higher education institutions (HEIs) play an important role in building national characters including the entrepreneurship character, which can be an answer to the question of unemployment. In this respect, HEIs are expected to contribute to bring about productive and innovative entrepreneurs who can seize opportunities in various fields such as agriculture, fishery, industry, farming, and services.

Abstract

The lack of people who know about the use of AI in Islamic boarding schools means that students do not have the instinct to explore the vast digital world, which is very beneficial for life. This research aims to analyze the role of training and mentoring programs on digital skills and the introduction of AI for students at Islamic boarding schools. This research uses the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method through collaborative steps involving discussion, dialogue, and active participation from all related parties. The subjects involved in the research were Islamic boarding school students. Data collection methods were carried out by observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. This research shows that the empowerment program through training effectively improves digital skills and introduces AI to Islamic boarding school students. Through this digital skills empowerment and development program, they provide knowledge and skills to see various learning opportunities around them and be creative in utilizing everything in the digital world to make everything easier.

Abstract

This research investigates the students' inability to execute mathematical division calculations in elementary school. Learning through lecture methods, giving examples, and exercises is frequently monotonous. So, mathematics is considered a subject that is complicated and difficult to understand. The purpose of the research is to assess the impact of using division boards in enhancing students' arithmetic skills, especially regarding basic and operational arithmetic aspects. Quantitative approach uses a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The sample includes 30 students separated into control and experimental groups. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation, and tests, while data analysis is conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent t-tests. The results indicate that there is a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, which has a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of the division board media in enhancing students' arithmetic skills and in encouraging student to participate actively in learning activities. This study recommends the use of concrete media as instructional tools that are relevant to the cognitive development stages of students, particularly in understanding abstract mathematical concepts such as division.

Abstract

The education system plays a vital role in society, especially in the transition from Education 4.0 to 5.0, where technology is increasingly integrated into learning. However, many educators still rely on monotonous methods that fail to engage students. This study aims to improve fourth-grade students' interest in IPAS by implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) interactive learning model in the 2024/2025 academic year. Based on classroom observations, the conventional approach was found to be less conducive to active learning. Using a quantitative method with random sampling, the research evaluates the impact of TGT on learning interest and outcomes. The results indicate that TGT can enhance student engagement and academic achievement. Educationally, the study supports the shift toward more interactive and student-centered models. From a management perspective, it underscores the need for innovation in instructional strategies and adaptive leadership in implementing engaging pedagogical methods. These findings underscore the importance of strategic planning and effective resource management in enhancing teaching quality and institutional performance.
