Abstract

This article discusses Nahwu's Usul which covers Qiyas, Illat, and Ta'wil using the Library Study method with a Descriptive Historical Qualitative approach. As for the main sources in writing this article are the books that contain the discussion of Qiyas, Illat, and Tawil and their relation to Greek Philosophy. The author concludes that Nahwu Science was born due to errors in reading the Koran because of the occurrence of birth among speakers of Arabic, not because of the influence of Greek Philosophy, but it cannot be denied that certain themes are influenced by other Sciences, such as methods the formation of Arabic rules inspired by the Science of Jurisprudence, and Ta'lil inspired by the way of thinking of the Greek Philosophers, but in general the application of the Nahwu Science had existed before the interaction between Muslim Scientists and Philosophers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Qira'ah Shadzah and its role in continuity the dialect of Arabic, especially the verses related to Qira'ah Shadzah contained in chapter Al-Imran. This study used descriptive-normative and comparative methods. The results show that Qira'ah Shadzah made an important contribution in maintaining the continuity of Arab dialect. This is derived from the observation of some Qira'ah Shadzah because there is a change of vowel, such as the transfer from fathah to dhamma, from kasrah to dhamma, from fathah to kasrah, or from dhamma to kasrah. These changes show that Arab customs differ between desert people and civilized people. Where civilized people more often use fathah and kasrah because both are symbols of meekness, while on the other hand desert people prefer to use the dhammah which is a hard and rough symbol.

Abstract

This article discusses the preservation of Arabic punctuation in the history of Quran writing using a critical history design. The author begins by recounting the beginning of the laying of Naqth (punctuation), history, type and the form of Naqth (punctuation) found by Abu al-Aswad ad-Duali by giving examples of comparison of classical Qur’an manuscripts not accompanied by punctuation. The author then examines Abu al-Aswad ad-Duali's biography, followed by the reasons for the compiling of Arabic rules and convinces that he was the first person laying down of Arabic rules despite the controversy surrounding it. Likewise, the type of punctuation (the Naqth) discovered is an i’rāb punctuation (the Naqth), not a punctuation of i‘jām.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal one aspect of the historical process of the Qur'an from its revelation to becoming a complete and printed book with varied color patterns which was previously only in the form of plain writing as it appeared in the first centuries. This research uses a descriptive approach, with a literature review method that refers to classical books, Quranic manuscripts, and contemporary research results. The results showed that the renewal of Qur'anic writing went through three stages, namely: the stage of laying syntax points, the placing, and the Mushaf that has been used by Muslims from the early period of the arrival of Islam to the present includes three Mushaf; namely, the plain Mushaf, the dotted Mushaf, and the arithmetic Mushaf. Ibn al-Bawab is considered to be the first person to compile the Quranic harakat format which became the basis for modern Quranic printing.

Abstract

This research came to reveal the aspect of a hidden miracle and a hidden secret in writing some Qur’anic words that began to be drawn during the era of the Companions, may God be pleased with them. This research is based on the descriptive approach, by returning to the library study with a review of heritage books, Qur’ans, manuscripts, and modern scientific research. The research indicates to prove the relationship between drawing and meaning, and that the word "woman" was mentioned with ta’ Marbutah is an indication of the limitedness, with the complete connection between the two parties proven, that is, the husband and the wife. And the wife of Noah, and the wife of Lot. The reason for the incompatibility and complete harmony in them is either one of them has died her husband, such as: Imran's wife, or she does not love her husband, as happened in the dear woman, or the contradiction in belief, as happened in the wife of Noah, the woman of Lot, and the woman of Pharaoh.
