Abstract

Keterampilan generik sains merupakan keterampilan dasar berfikir yang dibutuhkan dalam mempelajari sains. Keterampilan generik sains harus dikuasai oleh siswa untuk dapat berfikir analitik dan berfikir tingkat tinggi. Keterampilan generik sains siswa saat ini tergolong rendah sehingga dibutuhkan model pmebelajran yang tepat untuk mengatasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan generik sains siswa pada konsep koloid menggunakan model discovery learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA. Intrumen penelitian berupa 12 soal ketrampilan generik sains yang valid dan reliabe. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan uji N-gain dan uji statistik dengan mengguakan paired-sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0.05. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan generik sains siswa pada materi koloid setelah diterapkannya model discovery learning. Hal ini dibuktikan dari analisis keterampilan generik sains dengan uji N-gain yang diperoleh bahwa 4 indikator tergolong sedang. Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa secara tepat dapat melatih keterapilan generik sains siswa.

Abstract

The large number of high school graduates who do not continue to college and their skills are not trained results they not being absorbed in the world of work. This problem can be solved by honing a skill, one of which is the ability to combine knowledge about chemistry with the manufacture of colloidal products. This study aims to produce a product in the form of chemical practicum guides for making chemoentrepreneurship-oriented colloids. This research used the R&D design with 3D Models (Define, Design, and Develop). The research begins with a needs analysis (Define), then design prototype through selecting the media, determining the format, and content of the product to be produced (Design), and the product validation stages through criticism or suggestions from the validators (Develop). The subjects of this study were students of class XI MAN 4 Pandeglang, who were selected by purposive sampling. Data validation results were analyzed using the Aiken'V method, and student response questionnaires to the product were measured using a Likert scale. The validation results of the product for each aspect of the practicum guides have a value of 0.78 (Aiken'V minimum table 0.76) and are declared valid. The product's limited trial results through a student response questionnaire obtained an average score of 93.8 with very good criteria. Data analysis results on the assessment of colloidal products in the form of student ability to make ice cream and simple water purifiers in groups 1, 2, 3, and 4 were 84.95; 79.57; 84,45; and 85.15. These results indicate that the research product in the form of a chemical colloid guideline can trigger students' creative and innovative skills.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa sangat diperlukan dalam pembelajaran kimia, karena beberapa ilmu kimia bersifat kontekstual. Keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa di indonesia cenderung masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada konsep koloid dengan menerapkan model PBL. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre eksperiment dengan pretest-posttest one group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di salah satu kelas XI IPA yang diambil dengan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes dengan 10 soal essay yang valid dan reliabel. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan statistik meliputi n-gain dan one sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai n-gain dengan kategori sedang pada 5 indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa yaitu, indikator kelancaran (0,45), keluwesan (0,50), keaslian (0,47), penguraian (0,50), perumusan kembali (0,58). Hasil tersebut didukung dengan uji one sample t test diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa H­1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dari hasil penelitian ini terlihat bahwa penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada konsep koloid. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya suatu modul pembelajaran berbasis PBL yang mampu menstimulus keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan abu sekam padi sebagai adsorben belum banyak diteliti meski telah digunakan pada berbagai keperluan. Oleh karena itu, penting dilakukan penelitian tentang laju reaksi kapasitas penyerapan adsorben pada abu sekam padi ini. Dengan memperhatikan sifat-sifat kinetika kimia pada sekam padi, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengenali karakter abu sekam padi pada kapasitas penyerapannya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode pengujian pada dua persamaan adsorpsi kinetika yaitu Langmuir dan Freundlich pada perubahan konsentrasi NaOH. Hasil percobaan diketahui bahwa proses penyerapan NaOH mengikuti persamaan Langmuir dan Freundlich dengan r sebesar 0,973. Persamaan yang digunakan untuk menentukan kapasitas adsorpsi mengikuti persamaan Langmuir. Konsentrasi optimum NaOH yang diadsorpsi oleh abu sekam padi aktif adalah sebesar 22,163 mg/L dengan kapasitas adsorpsi sebesar 4.433 mg/g.

Abstract

This research aims to development a REACT-based e-worksheet that is feasible to use to stimulate the critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication (4C) skills and determine student response. The challenges of a dynamic era require students to have a 4C skills set critical thinking and problem-solving skills; creativity and innovation; communication; and collaboration. One of the tools that can be used in online learning to achieve this goal is to use the electronic Student Worksheet (E-Worksheet) which includes the student's 4C skill values with REACT strategies: Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring. The research chooses one of the topics in chemistry, which is introduction to chemistry and laboratories. This REACT-based e-worksheet was developed using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages those are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, the study used a sample of 10 students of mathematic and natural science 12th grade MAN 4 Tangerang. Based on the results of validation and student response questionnaires, REACT-based e-worksheet to stimulate students' 4C skills was declared valid and obtained an average percentage of 91.8% with very good criteria.

Abstract

High school students have difficulty in understanding “electrolyte and non-electrolyte” solution materials because they are mostly abstract. Students should study three aspects in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions including macroscopic, symbolic and submicroscopic. However, the fact that in school only accentuates macroscopic and symbolic levels. Then the learning resources cannot provide an explanation of the submicroscopic level and the learning model used does not make students active in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. This study aims to produce products in the form of problem solving-based Elnoel E-modules on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials, as well as explaining the feasibility of E-elnoel module and student response to Elnoel E-module. This research is designed with ADDIE model with analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. This Elnoel e-module is validated by 7 experts (judment) that the results of material validation and media validation are declared valid with a value of 0.85 and 0.81. Then the Elnoel E-module was implemented to 9 students of grade XI science at Al-Qudwah Integrated High School to find out the student's response to the media developed by obtaining a percentage of 89% that belongs to the category very good.It can be seen that the development of media arranged based on problem solving can stimulate students’ thinking skills and get a positive response from students.

Abstract

This research-based on decreasing cultural identity because of the process of globalization and limited modules used in learning that integrated with culture. This research aims to determine the validity of ethnoscience based learning modules with the theme of acids and bases and to find out the response of class XI students to the modules used. The research method is Research and Development (R&D) which includes several stages: problem identification, data collection, design module, design validation, design revisions, small-scale trials, and final module. The results showed that the modules developed according to BSNP valid with Aiken calculations for aspects of content and media were 0.99 and 0.97. As for the responses of students in the high, medium and low groups, and the percentage 92%, 93%, and 92% which are included in the category very good. The developed module has proven valid to use in learning.

Abstract

Orde reaksi adalah banyaknya faktor konsentrasi yang mempengaruhi kecepatan suatu reaksi kimia. Orde reaksi dapat digunakan untuk menentukan bagaimana proses adsorpsi pada proses pewarnaan berdasarkan penentuan persamaan regresi linear dari nilai R square. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan metode gravimetri dengan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis dalam menentukan orde reaksi pada sampel klorofil pewarna alami daun pepaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif untuk mengetahui nilai orde reaksi pewarna alami daun pepaya, dengan teknik analisis data meliputi analisis metode gravimetri untuk mengetahui kadar klorofil, spektrofotometri UV-Vis untuk mengetahui nilai absorbansi klorofil dan regresi linear untuk menentukan orde reaksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua metode mengikuti orde satu dengan nilai R pada metode gravimetri sebesar 0,951 dan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis sebesar 0,994.

Abstract

Assessment is a process carried out to collect information related to student learning development, analyze and interpret it in deciding learning achievement based on certain criteria and aspects. The use of digital-based learning media can provide a pleasant experience for students in the assessment process, but there are still many teachers who have not used it because of the lack of information to teachers about the use of online learning applications and assessment media, especially those based on online game modes. This workshop aims to socialize Gimkit as a digital platform that can be used for learning assessment. This workshop aims to socialize Gimkit as a digital platform that can be used for learning assessment by presenting two resource persons, namely the Chair of the Untirta Chemistry Education Department and the Chair of the Indonesian Teachers Association (IGI) of Serang City. The first resource person explained the application of information technology in learning assessment, while the second resource person introduced the Gimkit platform and demonstrated and practiced the assessments created by the participants. Based on the results of reflection and evaluation, this workshop activity really helped teachers and students innovate to develop fun assessment activities in the classroom.
