Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi, kelebihan dan kelemahan dan efektivitas media mechanic simulator dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar pemeliharaan dan perawatan alat berat. Pada penelitian kelas Langkah dalam setiap siklus terdiri dari empat langkah yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian kelas ini dipilih dengan menggunakan media mechanic simulator yang terdiri dari farm mechanic simulator dan truck mechanic simulator. Hasil penelitian motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I: kategori sangat rendahsebanyak 0 siswa atau 0%, kategori rendah sebanyak 0 siswa atau 0%, kategori sedang sebanyak 11 siswa atau 31%, kategori tinggi sebanyak 21 siswa atau 60%, dan kategori sangat tinggi sebanyak 3 siswa atau 9%. Sedangkan siklus II didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut: kategori sangat rendah sebanyak 0 siswa atau 0%, kategori rendah sebanyak 0 siswa atau 0%, kategori sedang sebanyak 6 siswa atau 17%, kategori tinggi sebanyak 21 siswa siswa atau 60%, dan kategori sangat tinggi sebanyak 8 siswa atau 23 %. Prestasi siswa juga mengalami peningkatan. Rata -rata nilai pada tahap pra siklus 74, siklus 1 rata-rata nilai 76 dan siklus II rata-rata nilai 85. Simpulan dari penelitian ini, melalui implementasi media mechanic simulator terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa. AbstractThis study aims to determine the implementation, advantages and disadvantages and the effectiveness of media mechanic simulator in improving the learning achievement of maintenance and maintenance of heavy equipment. In the Step class research in each cycle consists of four steps: planning, execution, observation and reflection. This class research was chosen by using mechanic simulator media consisting of farm mechanic simulator and truck mechanic simulator. Result of research of student's learning motivation in cycle I: very low category 0 students or 0%, low category 0 students or 0%, medium category 11 students or 31%, high category 21 students or 60%, and very high category as many as 3 students or 9%. While the second cycle obtained results as follows: very low category as many as 0 students or 0%, low category as many as 0 students or 0%, medium category as many as 6 students or 17%, high category as many as 21 students or 60%, and very high category as many as 8 students or 23%. Student achievement also increased. Average value at pre cycle stage 74, cycle 1 average value 76 and cycle II average value 85. The conclusion of this research, through the implementation of media mechanic simulator proved to improve student's motivation and achievement.
