Abstract

The quality of clean water and drinking water is greatly influenced by the type of soil and pollution of raw water. Groundwater often contains large amounts of iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn). The presence of Fe and Mn in water causes the water to turn brownish yellow after a while of contact with air. In the Keerom Regency area there are still many clean water facilities whose quality does not meet the health requirements, based on preliminary data in the Pir I Arso City area, the chemical quality of water has not met the requirements, namely very high Fe levels found Fe levels of 4.629 mg / liter which exceed levels maximum. To reduce Fe levels in well water, it is necessary to do research. Whether each ion exchange medium with different thicknesses is effective in reducing Fe levels in well water, it is necessary to make a contact filtration design with zeolite and ferolite media which is believed to reduce Fe levels in well water. This type of research is an experiment with a pretest-posttest design with a control group design. The material used in this study was an experimental pretest-posttest design with a control group design. The materials used in this study were ion exchange media in the form of zeolite, resin and ferolite, resident water in Arso PIR II. The data collected were primary data, namely Fe levels before and after going through contact filtration treatment. Abstract

Polisi Jentik Nyamuk Kids adalah sebuah metode yang dilakukan dengan mendidik siswa SD sebagai pendidik teman sebaya agar mampu membiasakan perilaku pencegahan malaria di lingkungan sekolah, dan di lingkungan rumah tempat tinggalnya. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan kepada guru sekolah SD Advent Doyo Baru Sentani tentang cara pencegahan malaria, kemudian dilakukan pendidikan kepada para siswa sehingga mereka bisa melakukan upaya pencegahan malaria di lingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan rumah. Kemudian orang tua dari siswa tersebut juga diberikan penyuluhan dan evaluasi tentang bagaimana perilaku polisi jentik nyamuk kids di rumah dalam melakukan upaya pencegahan penularan malaria.Polisi Jentik Nyamuk Kids is a method carried out by educating elementary students as peer educators to be able to familiarize malaria prevention behavior in the school environment, and in the home environment where they live. After counseling to Adventist Doyo Baru Sentani elementary school teachers on how to prevent malaria, education is then given to students so that they can make efforts to prevent malaria in the school and home environment. Then the parents of these students were also given counseling and evaluation on how the behavior of the kids mosquito larvae at home in preventing malaria transmission.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Kecelakaan kerja adalah kejadian yang tidak diduga dan tidak diharapkan pada saat bekerja dan tanpa ada unsur kesengajaan terlebih lagi secara terencana. Tujuan: Mengetahui karakteristik kecelakaan kerja pada petugas pengangkut sampah di DKP Kota Jayapura tahun 2014. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif analitik. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah petugas pengangkut sampah yang berjumlah 126 orang kerja dan sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 56 orang yang diambil dengan simple random sampling. Analisa data menggunakan chi square. Hasil: faktor yang berhubungan dengan Kecelakaan Kerja adalah umur (p value 0,000), pendidikan (p value 0,007), sikap p value 0,01), tindakan (p value 0,03), lama kerja (p value 0,03), dan masa kerja (p value 0,01). Kesimpulan: faktor yang berhubungan dengan kecelakaan kerja adalah umur, pendidikan, sikap, tindakan, lama kerja, dan masa kerja. Saran sebaiknya dilakukan penyuluhan lagi mengenai pencegahan kecelakaan kerja agar kejadian kecelakaan kerja dapat dikurangi.   Background: A work accident is an unexpected and unexpected event at the time of work and without any element of intentionality, especially in a planned manner. Purpose: Knowing the characteristics of work accidents in waste transport officers at the Jayapura City DKP in 2014. Methods: This type of research is descriptive analitic research. The population in this study was 126 waste transporters and the sample in this study was 56 people taken with simple random sampling. Data analysys by chi square. Results: Factors related to work accidents are age (p value 0.000), education (p value 0.007), attitude (p value 0.01), actions (p value 0.03), length of work (p value 0.03), and years of service. work (p value 0.01). Conclusion: factors related to work accidents are age, education, attitudes, actions, length of work, and years of service. Suggestions should be carried out again on the prevention of work accidents so that the incidence of work accidents can be reduced.
