Abstract

Patients who come to the emergency department need prompt and precise rescue actions. The aim of this study was to identify the efforts needed to improve the quality of emergency nursing services from a nurse's perspective. This research was a phenomenological study involving 8 nurses who work in the emergency department. They were selected by purposive sampling technique according to the inclusion criteria, namely having a minimum training certificate of basic life support in the last 5 years. Data were collected by in-depth interviews for 30-60 minutes. The transcribed interview results were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. Furthermore, 4 themes were obtained, namely strengthening the delegation process policy, continuous updating of science, improving facilities and infrastructure and increasing the quantity of human resources. Keywords: care; emergency; quality of service ABSTRAK Pasien yang datang ke instalasi gawat darurat memerlukan tindakan pertolongan yang cepat dan tepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi upaya yang diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan keperawatan gawat darurat dari perspektif perawat. Penelitian ini merupakan studi fenomenologis yang melibatkan 8 perawat yang bekerja di instalasi gawat darurat. Mereka dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu mempunyai sertifikat pelatihan minimal basic life support maksimal dalam 5 tahun terakhir. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam selama 30-60 menit. Hasil wawancara yang telah ditranskripsi dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik. Selanjtnya didapatkan 4 tema yaitu penguatan kebijakan proses delegasi, perbaruan ilmu yang berkelanjutan, peningkatan sarana dan prasarana serta peningkatan kuantitas sumber daya manusia.
