Abstract

Community-based health literacy has emerged as a critical determinant of public health outcomes, particularly amid global health crises and the rapid evolution of the digital information landscape. Despite a growing body of literature, the intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and patterns of scientific collaboration in this field remain insufficiently systematized. This study aims to analyze global trends, themes, collaboration patterns, and scientific impact of community-based health literacy research from 2007 to 2026 using a bibliometric approach. This study employs a bibliometric analysis of 173 articles indexed in the Scopus database from 2007 to 2026. Articles were selected through title and abstract screening based on predefined inclusion criteria. Data analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel for descriptive statistics, VOSviewer for mapping collaboration networks and keyword co-occurrence, and Biblioshiny for assessing publication trends and citation metrics. The findings reveal a marked acceleration in publication output after 2020, with a peak in 2025. Geographically, research production is highly concentrated in China and the United States, both of which also occupy central positions within global collaboration networks. Thematic analysis indicates a predominance of quantitative, survey-based methodologies, with the COVID-19 pandemic acting as a major driver of research activity. Temporal trends demonstrate a gradual shift from crisis-oriented studies toward digital health communication and information dissemination, although methodological approaches remain relatively unchanged. Community-based health literacy research is undergoing rapid expansion and increasing thematic diversification; however, it remains characterized by geographic concentration and limited methodological innovation. Future research should prioritize more inclusive international collaboration and the development of longitudinal and interventional study designs to enhance conceptual maturity and global applicability in this field.

Abstract

ntroduction: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition with an increasing global prevalence that demands effective intervention strategies. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a well-researched approach for treating various co-occurring disorders in children with ASD. However, despite the growing volume of research, there remains a lack of comprehensive bibliometric analysis that maps global trends, thematic focus, and collaboration patterns in CBT-related ASD studies, highlighting a critical gap that this study seeks to address. Methods: This study used a bibliometric approach to analyze global research trends in CBT for treating children with ASD. It analyzed 148 articles published between 2007 and 2025. Data were collected from the Scopus database and analyzed using VOSviewer, Harzing's Publish or Perish, and Microsoft Excel. This bibliometric analysis provides a novel perspective by quantitatively mapping the evolution of research, identifying underexplored themes, and revealing disparities in scientific contributions between developed and developing countries, an area that has received limited attention in existing CBT-ASD literature. Results: The results showed a significant upward trend in publications on CBT for ASD since 2007, peaking by 2025. The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia dominated the geographical distribution of research, whereas developing countries had limited contributions. Collaboration patterns revealed strong connections between developed countries, with the United States as the main center. This study focused on the effectiveness of CBT in managing anxiety disorders, improving social skills, and addressing comorbidities, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder and sleep problems. However, there are research gaps in the application of CBT for severe ASD and in the involvement of developing countries. Conclusion: This study offers a novel bibliometric insight into the evolution and focus of CBT research in ASD, highlighting underexplored areas for future inquiry. Its implications can be extended to health practitioners, policymakers, educators, and researchers. Future research should explore the adaptation of CBT to various cultural contexts and ASD severity, utilizing technological advancements and multidisciplinary collaboration to provide more inclusive and accessible interventions for children with ASD worldwide.

Abstract

Background: Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is a systematic approach that has been increasingly adopted in nursing services to improve the quality of patient care. Although CQI implementation has advanced considerably, a comprehensive understanding of the barriers and facilitators influencing its implementation in nursing practice remains limited. This scoping review aimed to comprehensively map and analyze the barriers and facilitators to CQI implementation in nursing services. Objective: To identify the barriers and facilitators to the implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement in nursing services. Methods: This scoping review was conducted following the Arksey and O'Malley framework. A systematic literature search was performed in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. A mixed-methods approach, incorporating content analysis and narrative synthesis, was used to summarize the findings. The review was reported in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Results: A total of 20 studies were included in the final review. The main barriers were categorized into four dimensions: (1) limitations in human resources, financial resources, and infrastructure; (2) organizational challenges, including limited leadership engagement and high staff turnover; (3) gaps in knowledge and training; and (4) technical and logistical issues. The key facilitators included strong leadership and organizational support, effective teamwork and collaboration, education and capacity building, implementation adaptability, and the use of technology and supportive systems. Conclusion: The implementation of CQI in nursing services requires a multidimensional approach that addresses individual, organizational, and health system factors. Context-specific implementation strategies, strengthened nursing leadership, continuous education and training, and the effective utilization of technology are critical to achieving the sustainable implementation of CQI and improving the quality of nursing care.

Abstract

Nutrition education is an effective strategy to improve maternal knowledge regarding appropriate nutritional intake for toddlers, particularly in efforts to prevent stunting. This study aimed to analyze the effect of nutrition education on increasing the knowledge of mothers with stunted toddlers. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pre–post test approach was employed, involving 42 respondents selected using simple random sampling. The research instrument consisted of a 20-item knowledge questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Nutrition education was delivered through lectures and leaflet media, followed by assessments of maternal knowledge before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge, as indicated by changes in knowledge categories from pre-test to post-test and the Wilcoxon test result with p = 0.000. These findings demonstrate that nutrition education plays an important role in enhancing maternal understanding of toddler nutrition as a preventive measure against stunting. Routine implementation of nutrition education in healthcare settings is recommended to strengthen promotive and preventive efforts related to child nutritional health.
