Abstract

Linguistik adalah ilmu yang mempelajari tentang bahasa, dan penggunaannya sebagai alat komunikasi. Linguistik juga mempelajari struktur bahasa dan segala aspek yang ada di dalamnya. Dalam linguistik terdapat beberapa cabang kajian ilmu di antaranya adalah: fonologi, morfologi, semantik, pragmatik, dan sintax.Morfologi adalah salah satu cabang ilmu linguistik yang memepelajari tentang seluk-beluk struktur internal kata dan pengaruh perubahan struktur tersebut terhadap arti dan golongan kata. Struktur internal kata terdiri dari satuan-satuan gramatik terkecil yang disebut morfem.Analisis ini fokus pada kajian morfem terutama morfem terikat, serta morf dan alomorf. Dengan memperdalam pengetahuan morfologi khususnya tentang morfem, diharapkan dapat meminimalisir kesalahan dalam bentuk ucaanp atau tulians saat proses komunikasi berlangsung, baik dalam lingkup formal ataupun tidak formal.Dalam puisi ”Embun Di Hutan Jati” karya Candra Malik lebih banyak didominasi morfem terikat yang berupa alomorf daripada morf. Yaitu; morfem dasar terikat, me- dan ber-.

Abstract

This SFL study attempts to scrutinise the process-type switching and its underlying meanings in the cyber-based interactive responses towards an issue of transgender. The issue is confined to the suspected genital reconstruction surgery of an Indonesian celebrity that becomes viral and triggers public debate on social media. 254 Indonesian clauses of interactive comments addressing the issue of transgender identity on a YouTube video of more than 2 million views were analysed. Prompting and replying responses were investigated for their categorization of process types by employing the tables of analysis adapted from the experiential meaning framework of Halliday and Matthiessen (2004). The analysis reveals some occurrences of process type switching in the interactive responses among responders in addressing the Indonesian sensitive and viral issue of transgender identity. In responding to the prompting comments, responders tended to employ relational and material clauses to establish values, evidences, and impacts in objective ways while they also used mental and verbal processes to affect one another in subjective ways. This Hallidayan study hints that the process switching among responders in addressing the issue of transgender is associated with the strategies for maintaining and spreading their ideology by confirming, strengthening, adding, and even arguing.

Abstract

English language skills have 4 (four) main skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. These skills must be owned by someone who wants to master the language, especially English. Building vocabulary or learning English vocabulary is the beginning of the expertise of all these skills. Pronounce and write vocabulary techniques properly and correctly can affect the speed of the English-speaking process. The English Literature Study Program Team as a resource and tutor who conducts Community Service for the students of The Castilla Muslim Orphanage Dormitory through vocabulary building training with collaborative learning methods. This method is used as an effort to facilitate participants and tutors in providing vocabulary training where face-to-face is still prohibited. From the Community Service activities, significant results were obtained through the pre-test and post-test on the participants. Then there is a C value of 35% and D as much as 45% in the pre-test. Meanwhile, the value of C is 15% and the value of D is 10%.
