<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the description of coping strategies and commitment to a relationship in early adult men after being abandoned by their previous partner. Researchers used qualitative research with data collection methods using in-depth interviews and observation. The results showed that the tendency of coping strategies for MR subjects was inseparable from beliefs, positive views, and social support. In the commitment to a relationship, the subject feels that the current partner is a needed figure. The second subject is VP, the tendency of coping strategies is shown by being careful in choosing a partner. This causes the commitment to establish a VP relationship is influenced by external factors. The third subject is KM, the tendency of coping strategies is shown by KM on positive reappraisal and escape avoidance factors. This causes the commitment to a subject relationship tends to be influenced by personal factors and values. The fourth subject is KR, the tendency of coping strategies is shown by KR with self-control, so that it affects the commitment to establish relationships on relationship and external factors.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran strategi koping dan komitmen menjalin hubungan pada pria dewasa awal pasca ditinggalkan pasangan terdahulunya. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecederungan strategi koping subjek MR tidak terlepas dari keyakinan, pandangan positif dan dukungan sosial. Pada komitmen menjalin hubungan subjek merasa pasangan saat ini adalah sosok yang dibutuhkan. Subjek kedua adalah VP, kecederungan strategi koping ditampakkan dengan berhati-hati memilih pasangan. Hal ini menyebabkan komitmen menjalin hubungan VP dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal. Subjek ketiga yaitu KM, kecederungan strategi koping ditampakkan KM pada faktor positive reappraisal dan escape avoidance. Hal ini menyebabkan komitmen menjalin hubungan subjek cenderung dipengaruhi faktor personal dan nilai. Subjek keempat yaitu KR, kecederungan strategi koping ditampakkan KR dengan selfcontrol, sehingga mempengaruhi komitmen menjalin hubungan pada faktor hubungan dan eksternal.]]>
