Abstract

Condition of agriculture in Indonesia, now seemed quite alarming. Where Indonesia is known as an agricultural country (developed country agriculture), is now importing its staple food of othercountries. people and our beloved earth is still able to meet the needs of rice for our daily food. Notonly rice but other agricultural products also suffered the thereby. There is one way to address the issue of urban agriculture by means of applying the system of hydroponics (https://www.google.com)Hydroponics is a way to grow crops by using water without the use of soil , with an emphasis on meeting the needs of nutrients for plants in hydroponic needs less water than the water demand in thecultivation of the soil (https: //id.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidroponik) Rarely urban communities have planted a hobby for many reasons as busy work, tired, lazy, and as his, so in this study made was thecontrol system and monitoring of hydroponic plants for people to be able to plant crops without having them involved directly on nutrition and others by just looking at their smart phones or throughthe website.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction1.1BackgroundThe Internet of Things (IOT) is a network of physical objects - tools, vehicles, buildings and other items that have electronic devices, software, sensors internet and network connectivity - that allowsthese objects to collect and exchange data. Internet of Things enables objects that exist and can be controlled remotely across the network infrastructure available, creating opportunities for the directintegration of the physical world into the computer-based system and result in increased efficiency, accuracy and economic benefits. IOT is used with sensors and actuators, the technology becomes amore common use of thesystem, cyberwhich also includes technologies such as smart grids (intelligent electricity networks), smart home, smart transport and smart cities. Abstract

Intriduction1.1BackgroundIn the middle of the technological developments that have led many science and innovation, in terms of providing ease of field work. It also influenced the development in one field of agriculture, makingit more efficient and effective. One such development is the automatic control system in which there are a method (knowledge base) that is able to give a decision in the control system in hydroponiccultivation. Hydroponics can be interpreted as a construction or management of water as a medium to grow plants without using soil as a growing medium media and take the required mineral nutrientsfrom the nutrient solution dissolved in water (Istiqomah, 2007). Where in general the field of agriculture requires the availability of a large area, so that a barrier in urban areas with limited arableland available.
