Abstract

The Babad Desa Sirkandi is one of the folklore that lives and develops in the social community of the Banjarnegara community. Babad Desa Sirkandi is an interesting topic of this study  because as far as the author's knowledge there has been no research that examines the chronicle (Babad). Babad Desa Sirkandi is a baboon of folklore in the village of Sirkandi. To analyze the chronicle, researcher used descriptive methods. The approach used to analyze the Babad Sirkandi is an objective approach. This approach was carried out to analyze the intrinsic elements that built the Babad Desa Sirkandi story. the object this research is folklore from Banjarnegara in the form of babad, namely Babad Desa Sirkandi. Based on the  research result, it can be concluded that (1) Babad Desa Sirkandi consists of eight episodes.; (2) the babad is formed by 56 mythems: (3) the identified myths have five binary opposition structures; (4) Babad Desa Sirkandi has three historical life structures: (5) Babad Desa Sirkandi has three layers of social strata, namely the upper layer, middle layer, and lower layer; (6) Karanggintung Village community believes  in the concept of Manunggaling Kawula Gusti: (7) there are three symbolic messages.

Abstract

Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger adalah salah satu sastra lisan yang hidup dan berkembang di komunitas sosial Wonosobo. Penelitain ini akan membahas masalah nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger Wonosobo. Sastra lisan ini menarik untuk diteliti karena sastra lisan Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger sarat dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal komunitas sosial pemilik cerita yang masih relevan dengan perkembangan zaman serba digital seperti sekarang ini. Selain itu, sepengetahuan peneliti, penelitian tentang hal tersebut belum pernah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini menemukan dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat dalam Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger Wonosobo. Metode deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisis  Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger Wonosobo. Penelitian ini bersifat eksplanasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan objektif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori kearifan lokal. Secara garis besar nilai-nilai luhur yang terdapat dalam tradisi lisan tersebut dikategorikan menjadi lima hubungan, yaitu (1) hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, (2) manusia dengan komunitas sosialnya, (3) manusia dengan alam, dan (4) manusia dengan dirinya sendiri.The Rhymes of Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger is one of the oral literature in Wonosobo. This research will discuss the values of local wisdom in the Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger Wonosobo.  The study on oral literature is interesting since the Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger Wonosobo has many values of local wisdom of the supporting community, which are still relevant to the current digital era. As long as we know that no other researcher studies on Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger Wonosobo.  The objective of this study is to find and describe the values of local wisdom in the Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger Wonosobo. The researcher uses a descriptive method to analyze the Parikan Tari Topeng Lengger Wonosobo. This is  explanatory research. It uses an objective approach. The theory relevant to this research is the local wisdom theory. In short, the category of noble values in the oral tradition has four relations: (1) the relation to God, (2) people and its social community, (3) people to nature, and (4) people to themselves.

Abstract

The issue of power between men and women in the construction of patriarchal culture becomes very interesting. Women become parties repressed by the power of men because of the cultural construction formed by men. One of the media that can be used by women to resist construction is literary work. The object of this research is a novel entitled Garis Perempuan by Sanie B. Kuncoro. Within the concept of structuralism, the writer aims to identify the behavior, mindset, and myths concerning women that are represented in the novel. The writer uses gender and representation theory to identify the representation of women. The method used in this paper is descriptive-analytic with an objective approach. The objective approach by analyzing intrinsic elements based on the empirical facts contained in the work. The result shows that women are represented as colonized and feminist.

Abstract

In a patriarchal society, virginity is a symbol of personality for a woman. If a woman is able to keep herself virgin and serve it later to her husband after marriage, then she is valued as a “good” woman. On the other side, if a woman lost her virginity before marriage she will be labeled as “bad” woman. Furthermore how the opinions about virginity be seen through the four female characters glasses contained in the novel by Sanie B. Kuncoro? This article will discuss women’s point of view interpreted from four female characters in Garis Perempuan novel by Sanie B. Kuncoro. This research is a descriptive research. Therefore, this article is aimed to describe the different views of four female characters regarding virginity issue. Radical feminist theory is being applied to interpret the views of four female characters as identifying the character as the first step. The result shows that the virginity is a negotiable commodity to pull out women from the issue of life. Virginity is also seen as a dignity which is priceless. Virginity is a born treasure. Therefore, a woman has a right to give her virginity to whoever she wants without any interferences from patriarchal society.

Abstract

Konstruksi budaya yang dibentuk oleh kaum laki-laki membuat perempuan tidak pernah menjadi dirinya sendiri. Perempuan tidak mendapatkan kesempatan untuk menunjukan kemampuan dan eksistensi dirinya. Novel Sintren merepresentasikan perjuangan tokoh perempuan untuk meraih eksistensinya. Masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah problematikayang dihadapi oleh kaum perempuan untuk mencapai eksistensi diri dan perjuangan kaum perempuan dalam novel Sintren karya Dianing Widya Yudhistira terhadap pembumian mitos tentang perempuan. Metode deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisis persoalan yang dibahas. Teori feminisime eksistensialisme digunakan sebagai dasar untuk menjawab persoalan. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa problematika yang dihadapi oleh kaum perempuan dalam mencapai eksistensi diri adalah tradisi patriarki yang sangat kuat dalam kehidupan masyarakat, kemiskinan, dan sifat ambivalen yang muncul dari diri perempuan itu sendiri. Pendidikan, menjadi diri sendiri atau pembebasan diri, dan menghasilkan modal capital menjadi startegi yang digunakan oleh tokoh perempuan agar dapa tmenunjukkan eksistensi dirinya. A cultural construction established by men has hindered women to be themselves. Women do not get equal opportunity as men to perform their abilities and to come into their existences. A novel, Sintren written by Dianing Widya Yudhistira, represents struggles performed by a female character to come into her existence. The problem in this research covers some problems faced by women to come into their self-existences and struggles performed by women characters in the novel amidst grounding efforts of myths about women. Descriptive method is applied in this study to analyze the problems of this research. The existentialist feminist theory is applied as a basis for answering the problems. The findings of the research show that the problems faced by women to come into their self-existences cover a strong determinant of patriarchal tradition in community life, poverty, and the ambivalent personality possessed by the women. To improve the quality of higher education, tp struggle to be themselves or self-liberation, and to earn capital are some strategies set by female characters in the novel to come into their existences.

Abstract

Literature can be used to deconstruct the construction of a culture. One of them is the representation of the women in Garis Perempuan written by Sanie B. Kuncoro. The object of this study is Garis Perempuan written by Sanie B. Kuncoro. The study will be focused on structuralism, particularly identifying behavior, mindset, and myth of women in the novel. The writer uses myth theory gender and representation to identify the representation of the women. The Method in this research is descriptive-analytic method by using objective approaches. The data analysis is  based on the fact that appear empirically in the novel. This research shows the women representation as colonized and feminist subject in the novel.  Sastra dapat digunakan untuk melakukan dekonstruksi terhadap konstruksi suatu budaya. Salah satunya adalah representasi tokoh perempuan yang terdapat dalam novel Garis Perempuan karya Sanie B. Kuncoro. Objek penelitian ini adalah novel Garis Peremuan karya Sanie B. Kuncoro dalam bingkai strukturalisme, yaitu mengidentifikasi prilaku, pola pikir, dan mitos seputar perempuan yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut. Teori representasi dan gender digunakan  untuk mengidentifikasi representasi tokoh perempuan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analitis dengan menggunakan pendekatan objektif. Analisis data dilakukan berdasarkan fakta yang ada secara empiris dalam novel yang dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi yang muncul adalah representasi perempuan sebagai colonized dan sebagai perempuan feminist.

Abstract

In social life, we cannot deny that myths are still something that is believed to be true and have sacred values. Aspects of human life cannot separate from the myths which are created, developed, and believed to be true by humans as individuals and as social groups. This study examines the type of myths and describes the benefits of myths on Purbalingga folklore. This explanatory because it is explaining the meanings contained in oral traditions; words meaning, language meaning and symbol meaning. To analyze the data, the researcher uses a library research. The method for this research is a descriptive comparative analysis. The approach for this research is a discursive approach. The results of the study show that the myths found in Purbalingga folklore are (1) myths of saints and magic, (2) sacred myth, (3) myths of the origin of the place,and (4) myths of the magical beasts. The results of the analysis that mythical Purbalingga community has a function (1) maintain social order. (2) maintain social status.
