Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions and attitudes of the people of South Lampung language against the use of Indonesian in Daily Lampung Post. The methodology used in this research is quantitative descriptive approach. Analyzed data obtained through direct interviews with respondents. Respondents in this study were 30 of age and a different educational background. Most respondents found Lampung Post is quite appropriate in the use of foreign language vocabulary. Most respondents also argued that the use of foreign languages in Lampung Post will not threaten the position of Indonesian and local languages. From all the answers to the interview questions were given to respondents it can be concluded that the majority of respondents have a positive attitude towards Indonesian. This is evident from the answers of respondents who have the awareness to put Indonesian compared to a foreign language and want the mass media (LampungPost) more attention to the use of the Indonesian language.

Abstract

This research investigates the interference which exist in short stories written by the students of SMPN 2 Merbau Mataram, South Lampung Selatan. The problems investigated are the kinds of interference existing in the short stories and the factors which couse the interference in these short stories. The use of Indonesian in the short stories is the fact mixed with foreign languages (English), slang word, local languages. This interference occurs in morphological, lexical, and syntactical levels. From 40 short stories being investigated, there are 35 short stories in which the case of interference. There are only 5 short stories in which the case of interferences is not found. In these numbers are made into percentage, in total the percentage of short stories containing interference is 87,5% and the ones which are do not contain the interference is 12,5%. The interference is caused by some factors, they are: the bilingualism of the student, boredom, prestige, avoiding unnatural phrases, the vocabularies are considered shorter compared to their equivalents in Indonesian, and the vocabularies do not have equivalents in Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper described the main character of the novel Rembulan Tenggelam Di Wajahmu (The Moon Drowning In Your Face/RTDW) Tere Liye works of literature, especially in terms of the psychology of Sigmund Freud's theory of psychoanalysis. The main character in this novel is Ray or Rehan Rejana. Stories in RTDW inner turmoil dominated by the main character. The main character of this novel narrated given the  pportunity to travel about his past in order to answer five questions in his life. At the beginning, Ray's id appears dominant and looks incapable of being offset by his ego and superego. There are times when Ray's id appears and becomes dominant. There are times when Ray can not accept reality and feel God is not being fair to him and likes to snatch the happiness of good people. Behind all forms of protest to God, the main character superego of RTDW is still present especially when looking at the moon. It is said that Ray was given a chance five days before his death to control the dominance of his id so that finally id, ego, and superego him go hand in hand.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the knowledge of culinary entrepreneurs in Pringsewu region about legislation relating to languages and the use of Indonesian and foreign languages, to explain the attitudes of culinary entrepreneurs in Pringsewu region towards languages and the use of Indonesian and foreign languages, and to explain the influence of the knowledge of the legislation toward the attitudes of culinary entrepreneurs in Pringsewu region. The result shows that the knowledge of culinary entrepreneurs in Pringsewu region about legislation relating to languages and the use of Indonesian, local and foreign languages can be considered low because almost all of the respondents have a limited knowledge of the legislation being asked in the questions;the language attitudes of culinary entrepreneurs in Pringsewu region can be considered good because the average value has reached 84.36%;the influenceof the knowledge of the legislation relating to languages toward the attitudes of culinary entrepreneurs in Pringsewu region is not considered significant which is only 1%. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan  pengetahuan pengusaha kuliner di Kabupaten Pringsewu mengenai peraturan perundang-undangan yang berkaitan dengan bahasa dan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa asing, menjelaskan sikap pengusaha kuliner di Kabupaten Pringsewu terhadap bahasa dan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa asing, dan menjelaskan pengaruh pengetahuan tentang peraturan kebahasaan terhadap sikap bahasa pengusaha kuliner di Kabupaten Pringsewu. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan pengusaha kuliner di Kabupaten Pringsewu mengenai peraturan perundang-undangan yang berkaitan dengan bahasa dan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia, daerah dan asing dapat dikategorikan kurang karena hampir semua responden tidak mengetahui peraturan perundang-undangan yang ditanyakan, sikap bahasa pengusaha kuliner di Kabupaten Pringsewu dapat dikategorikan baik karena nilai rata-ratanya sudah mencapai 84,36%, pengaruh pengetahuan mengenai peraturan kebahasaan terhadap sikap bahasa pengusaha kuliner di Kabupaten Pringsewu tidak signifikan karena hanya sebesar 1%.
