Abstract

Luak Gadang Bukik Baka is a natural tourist attraction located in Agam Regency, West Sumatra. This tourist attraction is relatively new, so it is still managed by the community. An attraction that is favored by this tourist attraction is a fish pond with a karst cliff on one side. Bukik Baka is a beautiful hill that has lovely sees and can also be used as a camping site. This tourist attraction is still in the early stages of growth. Since opening in April 2018, the available tourist facilities are still minimal, but tourist visits to this tourist attraction are very busy. This study aims to figure out how to develop the tourism potential of Luak Gadang Bukik Baka, so that it can attract tourist visits to Jorong Guguak Rangpisang, Nagari Kamang Hilia, Agam Regency. The research approach used is the qualitative descriptive method. Obtaining the informant's researchers used the snowball technique. Observation, question, and answer (interview), and recording were used as data collection techniques. Based on the findings of the study, it can be inferred that the current innovations are in the areas of activities and services, such as lodging and facilities. Meanwhile, Luak Gadang Bukik Baka has not fully evolved in terms of physical aspects, beauty, accessibility, socio-economic, and cultural aspects. It is hoped that the Agam Regency Government will continue to support the Jorong Guguak Rangpisang community in developing the Luak Gadang Bukik Baka into a popular tourist destination.

Abstract

The city of Bukittinggi as one of the largest tourist cities in West Sumatra has a leading tourist attraction which is one of the oldest zoos in Indonesia. This zoo also displays various Minangkabau cultural attractions, therefore the government named this zoo Kinantan Wildlife and Culture Park (Taman Margasatwa dan Budaya Kinantan). Based on preliminary observations, data shows that the number of tourist visits to Kinantan is not proportional to the level of tourist visits to the City of Bukittinggi. Therefore, an in-depth research is carried out on the development of facilities and the role of the government in that development. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the analysis showed that the role of government in developing Kinantan, namely as a motivator, facilitator, and dynamist has been running well and can increase the number of tourist visits.

Abstract

The application of CHSE is one of the strategies to gain the trust of domestic and foreign tourists who will visit during the New Normal period. This study aims to determine how the application of CHSE at Nikita Hotel Bukittinggi and to determine the effect of implementing CHSE on the occupancy rate at Nikita Hotel Bukittinggi. The method used is Associative Quantitative. The sample in this study were guests who had stayed or who were staying at Nikita Hotel Bukittinggi as many as 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was probability sampling and simple random sampling. The technique of data collection is by distributing structured questionnaires. The results of this study show that it has a partial effect on increasing room occupancy rates at Nikita Hotel Bukittinggi, the variable that has the most dominant influence on increasing room occupancy rates at Nikita Hotel Bukittinggi is the cleanliness variable. However, from the results of the OCC formula that the implementation of CHSE does not have much effect on the occupancy rate at Nikita Hotel Bukittinggi because at Nikita Hotel Bukittinggi it has a target of 50% during the new normal but it can be seen in December 2020 which reached 50% occupancy rate from the other 8 months since the implementation CHSE is carried out because of the implementation of PSBB, PPKM, etc. from the government.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the discovery of problems related to career development and employee job satisfaction at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of career development on employee job satisfaction at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a causal associative approach. . The population in this study were all employees of Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang except for the Head of Department (HOD) which amounted to 150 employees. The number of samples in this study was 60 people. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire (questionnaire) using a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis technique using SPSS version 16.0 program. The results of this study indicate that; 1) career development Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang as many as 13.3% of respondents said it was good and 86.7% said it was not good. 2) Job satisfaction of Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang employees as many as 21.7% of respondents said they were satisfied and 78.3% said they were not satisfied. 3) there is a significant effect between career development and employee job satisfaction at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang, with a regression coefficient of 8.526 in sig. 0.00 < 0.05. This means that every increase of 1 unit of career development will increase employee job satisfaction by 8,526 units. While the magnitude of the influence of career development on employee job satisfaction Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang is 55.6%, while the rest is influenced by other factors
