Abstract

Karya al-Bukhari berupa al-Jami’ al-Shahih atau yang dikenal dengan Sahih al-Bukhari merupakan masterpiece dalam bidang hadis. Sebagai penyusun kitab tersebut, Al-Bukhari menjamin validitas hadis-hadis di dalamnya tanpa menjelaskan kriteria atau syarat kesahihannya. Apresiasi yang tinggi kepada kitab Sahih al-Bukhari telah memancing minat para peneliti hadis untuk meneliti lebih jauh terhadap konsep dan syarat validitas hadis menurut penulis kitab tersebut. Di antara ulama yang meneliti dan merumuskan tentang syarat sahih al-Bukhari adalah al-Hakim (w. 405 H), Muhammad Thahir al-Maqdisy (w. 507 H), al-Hazimy (w. 584 H), an-Nawawy (w. 676 H). Rumusan istilah syarth al-Bukhari ternyata masih merupakan sesuatu yang kontroversial dan menjadi diskursus ulama hadis dari masa ke masa.

Abstract

The authenticity of the hadith sanad was evaluated by the quality of the transmitters or narrators. The identity of transmitters in an isnad was being evaluated as the first step. Particularly, determining the similar transmitter names and profiles (ta’yin wa tamyiz). The crucial step is to distinguish between the similar transmitters, then judge their reliability through the state of affairs transmitter in the ta'dil and jarh books. In this paper, I intend to examine the opinions of Muhammad Mustafa al-Azami, Muh Zuhri, and Marzuki on Ibn Abi Laila. They claim the weeknees of al-Bukhari’s hadis validity because of him in the isnad. Through library research, I argue that their opinion is false. Ibn Abi Laila is not a transmitter of Sahih Bukhari’s isnad. The misidentification of the transmitter was proven. In addition, this work proposes a method to limit misidentification in assessing and determining the transmitter.

Abstract

The belief on theNūr Muhammadas the beginning of creation and origin of all creatures in the universe is one of the main teachings in philosophical Sufism. This belief is based on a hadith attributed to 'Abdurrazzaq from Jabir bin 'Abdillah. The hadith is considered fake (maudhu') because it is not found in various writings of 'Abdurrazzaq and is only quoted in secondary hadith books with uncomplete sanad or disconnected of narration (ghair muttashil). Some people believe it to be valid, especially with the discovery of al-Juz al-Mafqud min al-Juz al-Awwal min al-Mushannaf which mention its sanadcompletely. This study describes the sanad and matan criticismand argumentum e silentio by intertextualitysearching for examining the validity claim of al-Juz al-Mafqud min al-Juz al-Awwal min al-Mushannaf.

Abstract

The Sahih Al-Bukhari’s was claimed as the highest of validity (Sahih) after the Holy al-Quran. In the fact that its hadith was triggered criticism by academic researchers. Therefore, the study of this book was massively done. Muhibbin was one of them. In submission of thesis to Post Graduate Program of IAIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in 2003 (Telaah Ulang Atas Kriteria Kesahihan Hadis-Hadis al-Jami’ al-Sahih”) the connectedness of some hadiths chain in Sahih al-Bukhari has been refused e.g., the isnad of al-Hasan ‘an Abi Bakrah. Through library research, this article attempts to evaluate, analyze, and criticize Muhibbin’s argumentation. The results of study were (1) the Isnad of al-Hasan from Abi Bakrah was not munqathi’. The isnad is fulfill recruitment of itthisal isnad. (2) the existence of some transmissions of al-Hasan from his teacher, Abi Bakrah via another narrator likes al-Ahnaf bin Qais should not contradicted with direct transmission of al-Hasan, (3) Isnad Assessment of al-Hasan from Abi Bakrah transmission wasn’t a subjectivity of al-Bukhari himself. (4) Muhibbin’s opinion had limited reference that only based on al-Daruquthy commentary and did not a wish to collect more information and examine the true of it. In the fact that al-Daruquthny himself narrated the transmission of al-Hasan ‘an Abi Bakrah in his Sunan.
