Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui apakah pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan, mengetahui apakah pembelajaran langsung efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan, dan mengetahui apakah pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran langsung ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan bentuk quasi experimental tipe the nonequivalent pretest posttest only control group design. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan  pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan, pembelajaran langsung efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan, dan berdasarkan data N-gain kemampuan komunikasi matematika, pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran langsung ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan.Abstract:The objectives of the research were to know whether the learning of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is effective in terms of mathematic communication ability of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan, to know whether the learning of direct leaning is effective in terms of mathematic communication ability of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan, to know whether the learning of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is more effective than direct leaning in terms of mathematic communication ability of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan. The research was used quasi experimental with nonequivalent pretest-posttest only control group design type. Data analysis technique used prerequisite test and hypothesis test. The result in the research pointed out that Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is effective in terms of mathematical communication ability of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan, effective direct learning in terms of mathematical communication ability of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan, and based on N-gain data of mathematical communication ability, the learning Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is more effective than direct learning in terms of mathematics communication ability of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan.
