Abstract

AbstrakHigh Order Thinking Skill atau HOTS merupakan suatu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap siswa untuk menghadapi perkembangan abad 21. HOTS meliputi kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa sekolah dasar melalui soal HOTS yang telah dirancang secara valid dan praktis. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 120 siswa kelas 6 dari sekolah dasar yang berbeda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan materi dengan menggunakan evaluasi formatif. Data didapatkan melalui kajian pustaka terkait dengan pengembangan HOTS, kemampuan literal siswa, pengembangan soal PISA, dan penelitian tentang pengembangan soal matematika berbasis HOTS sebelumnya yang relevan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan soal HOTS yang divalidasi oleh 7 ahli dan guru matematika. Selain itu, soal juga divalidasi secara empiris melalui tes reliabilitas dan validitas. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan paket soal HOTS yang didesain untuk meningkatkan kemampuan matematika siswa.AbstractHigh Order Thinking Skill or HOTS should be had by the students to face the 21st century. The goal of this research was to assess the mathematical problem solving of the students in primary school through HOTS task which was designed validly and practically. The subject of this study was 120 students of the 6th Grade from four different schools. The method used was research and development with formative evaluation. The data were collected through study literature relating to the HOTS development, students’ literal ability, PISA exercises development, and several related findings about mathematical studies of task development base on HOTS. This research developed HOTS task which was validated by 7 experts and mathematics teachers. Moreover, the tasks were also tested in empirical and reliability testing. The result of this research validly and practically produced HOTS tasks which was designed to improve the students’ mathematical ability.
