Abstract

The purpose of this research is to recognize the different that is good significant about the quality of the activity although cognitive ability of student between the groups. The population of this research are the first students of SLTP Negeri I and SLTP Negeri 30 Semarang. The sample is made by using Cluster random sampling technique, with the total of the sample of two classes and the next from each classes are 6 students for analysing the activities beside the cognitive ability. There are two variable with going to be search as the main variables, that is as the independent variable is learning strategy, while as the dependent variable is the quality of the activity and the student's cognitive ability. Data collecting is generated with documenter, observation and test, while analysing technique used is t-test statistic analyze. Analyze result the quality of the student's activity performance the significant difference for the quality of the activity with t-count for listening activity - 6,64, reading 3,06, psychomotor 3,29, writing - 0,65, discussion between students and teacher 5,83, and discussion between students 3,10 is out from the t-table cost -2,23 until+ 2,23 with level = 10 is 2,23. Analyze result the student's cognitive ability erformance the difference between reciprocal teaching group with non reciprocal teaching group with t =2,33 is bigger than cost oft-table with the significant level o,05, dk = 10 is 2,23. Based upon the analyze result above means the reciprocal teaching group is different from non reciprocal teaching group.
