Abstract

The purpose of this research are as follows: (a) the cognitive ability description and (b) the student respond description. Subject of the research are the second grade students of SLTPN I Semarang. The class action research is use in research program. The cognitive ability and the student respond are the variables in this research. Method data collecting with test and questionaire. Method analyze used by data that is descriptive statistic. Result of the cognitive ability in the first stage found out 6 students have grade 8 (mastering of learn 20%), the second stage found out 10 students have grade 8 (mastering of learn 33%). and also the thirth stage found out 2 I students hane grade 8 (mastering of learn 70%). Result of research questionaire from student respond show goodness at all of component covering lesson items, materials witten (LKS), way of teacher teach, and execution activity of praktikum. Make-up of value mean test early-final test each good to cycle also mean there is make-up of result learn as awhole. By overall of this result perception can be concluded that instruction direct method together with demonstration has : (a) assist student in understanding subject matter that increasing the result of learning, and also (b) improve student respond.
