Abstract

The climate anomaly had impact on agricultural sector in Central Java for the last five years. Abaout 15.000 paddy fields had; 12.889 was flood and 8,448 acre was faidure to be harvested. The research needs related to fluctation of farm productifity as effect of climate change are needed by policy makus and practicioners. Other aspect which is also impartant to be assessed is switability of farming system practiced on the location in response to cli• mate change. This assessment can be done using simulation model or model existing on the farm. The anticipative rice culture technologi on El-Nifio was assessed in Sengon Wetan Village, Kradenan subdistrict, Grobogan Regency. Participatory Rurral Appraisal (PRA) survey was conducted before introducing the technology. The exeperiment design of randomly complete block desigh was employed using 4 treatments with 5 replicaton. Those treatments were : (1) the farmer technology package by the width of 2.500 meter square, (2) the intro• duction technology package by the width of 1.000 meter square, (3) the farmers treatment package repaired by the width of 500 meter square and (4) the control. Parameters measured were plant heght, number number of tillers, grain yield and Content of grain. The results indicated plant hight, maximum plant height and maximum number of tillers of technology package introduced were 86,98 cm, 91,8 cm and 20,8 respectively. tillers per plants, respec• tively. In addition, the rice production reached 50,8 kg per 100 m2 with 19,62 % of wath content. Whereas number of tillers at 60 day after transplanting (DAT) plants of the farmer technology package was 15,78 tillers per plant.
