Abstract

This research helps leaders to grow and integrate their efforts from one business to severalrelated businesses, using a longitudinal approach to know for sure the development of anobject, a survey to collect data from a research sample. This research uses longitudinal designin which qualitative and quantitative techniques are used, using the random purpose samplingtechnique, the data collection process using the study cohort. The result of the researchstated that with strong experience and commitment the UMKM perpetrator is able to developindependent business so as to become the business owner and become the leader in that effort,along with the process of experiencing business constraints but can be solved and generatenew businesses that still exist kaitanya with the main business so that the business is combinedand mutually supportive. This study also corroborates research by Rajani and Sarada (2008)which shows a strong influence between leadership on the performance of UMKMKeywords: experience, commitment, leadership umkm

Abstract

The trend of globalization followed by uncontrolled technological changes has resulted in the growth of businesses that are increasingly changing, those changes must automatically be followed by local actors but the local actors who initially because by accident are unable to compete with large-scale business sectors that start their business by design, experience micro small and Medium Enterprises is good but not supported by good formal knowledge so the results will be inferior to those designed so that the role of polytechnics is needed to provide applicative solutions needed by the micro small and Medium Enterprises actors, polytechnics need an applicable solution because polytechnic education concepts are more practiced than academic. The polytechnic has the role of providing theory and practice in management, accounting, marketing, relationships with banks, networks and practical solutions so that SMEs are able to compete with large companies. Keywords: globalization, vocational education, applicable

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of Cultural Role in Organizational Learning Process at Otto Bus Company in Pantura java area (Tegal, Brebes, Slawi). The purpose of this research is to know the effect of cultural role in Organizational Learning Process in Otto Bus Company in pantura area so that it has competitive advantage. Instrument used in this research is Value Survey Module 1994 (VSM 1994). This instrument is a revision of the previous questionnaire based on the question used in the original Hofstede research. A total of 125 questionnaires were distributed to all 10 companies. Each company received two copies of the questionnaire for its general manager and executive manager. Acceptable responses are accepted and analyzed. Researchers conducted 7 semi interviews to interpret and validate the results of the survey, from the results of research, researchers take the conclusion that the cultural dimensions of individualism and avoidance of uncertainty have a significant effect on organizational learning, where the area of pantura whose culture of individualism is still high into a competitive advantage and avoid the low uncertainty makes excellence separate community culture that supports organizational learning become more competitive.
