Abstract

AbstractThe roof is a cover on a building that protects inside of the building from various situations and weather. The roof layer affects its ability to protect the space underneath. The use of roof insulation can reduce the heat coming from the roof. This is because the roof is in direct contact with the hot sun. Not only hot, but roof insulation is also able to reduce sounds such as the sound of raindrops on the roof. There are various materials that function as roof insulation, one of which is styrofoam. Styrofoam is indeed prohibited as a container for food, but the structure contained in Styrofoam is able to reduce heat with hollow grains so that it can withstand the heat. Styrofoam is now starting to become a favorite for the public in reducing heat due to its affordable price and easy access. However, the use of Styrofoam as an insulator on the roof should be supported by other construction layers both on the walls and floors so that room temperature cooling can be optimal. Keywords: construction, roof, thermal, environment, building.  AbstrakAtap merupakan penutup atas suatu bangunan yang melindungi bagian dalam bangunan dari berbagai situasi dan cuaca. Lapisan atap mempengaruhi kemampuannya dalam melindungi ruang di bawahnya. Penggunaan insulasi atap mampu meredam suhu panas yang berasal dari atap. Hal ini dikarenakan atap bersinggungan langsung dengan panas matahari. Tidak hanya panas, namun insulasi atap juga mampu meredam suara seperti suara rintik hujan pada atap. Terdapat berbagai bahan yang berfungsi sebagai insulasi atap, salah satunya styrofoam. Styrofoam memang dilarang sebagai wadah pada makanan, anmun struktur yang terdapat pada Styrofoam mampu meredam panas dengan butiran berongga sehingga mampu menahan panas. Styrofoam saat ini mulai menjadi favorit bagi khalayak dalam meredam panas dikarenakan harganya yang terjangkau dan mudah mendapatkannya. Namun, penggunaan Styrofoam sebagai insulator pada atap sebaiknya didukung oleh lapisan konstruksi lainnya baik pada dinding maupun lantai agar pendinginan suhu ruang dapat optimal. Kata Kunci: konstruksi, atap, termal, lingkungan, bangunan

Abstract

Kota Surabaya merupakan kota dengan populasi pekerja industri kreatif terbanyak di Jawa Timur. Perkembangan industri kreatif ini mengalami kenaikan setiap tahun. Industri ini berpusat pada keunggulan sumber daya manusia dengan pemanfaatan kreativitas, keterampilan serta bakat manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan rancangan desain Creative Hub yang menerapkan konsep arsitektur hijau sebagai wadah bagi masyarakat untuk berdiskusi, mengembangkan kemampuannya dan memasarkan produk kreatifnya. Program ruangnya, meliputi studio, ruang pameran, workshop, auditorium, dan ruang-ruang penunjang lainnya. Lahan yang dipilih pada perancangan ini adalah lahan bekas Taman Hiburan Rakyat di Kota Surabaya karena letaknya strategis dan peruntukan lahannya tepat untuk bangunan sosial dan budaya. Pendekatan arsitektur hijau dipilih berkaitan dengan kondisi iklim di Surabaya yang cukup panas dan berpolusi, sehingga perlu mengupayakan adanya bangunan yang bisa menyelesaikan masalah tersebut dalam skala mikro.

Abstract

Urban development is not only the construction of roads and buildings, but also the application of sustainable cities as a problem solutions, one of the problems is flood. The solution to reduce the flood, in addition by increasing the volume of the channel, is also by the use of rainwater and water conservation. Water conservation can be obtained by utilizing the role of green open space as water absorption as well as a shade, bad air filtering, and aesthetics. The existence of green open space in Indonesia needs to consider its procurement and its effectiveness against pollution from motorized vehicles, in view of the number of motorized vehicles and the driving needs to thesociety. The increasing need for roads and transportation accompanied by urban development has made the existence of green open space (GOS) increasingly declined. So that the pollution generated from motorized vehicles cannot be cleaned optimally by the environment. However in the recent years, several countries have promoted the provision of GOS as clean air filters. One of them is South Korea where the provided GOS is also able to reduce the congestion and improve the city's economy. While in Indonesia, Surabaya cityis known to have promoted the GOS program in the form of active parks, but is still not optimally utilized by the residents of Surabaya City. Whereas the residents in Seoul can utilize city parks as a means to relax themselves (due to the function of plants that are able to give a relaxation), socialize and be cultured (as a function of public space). Abstract

The Earth currently needs to be prepared for sea level rise, both the Earth is threatened by the effects of global warming which has been an issue the world has been facing for a long time. One of them is the melting of ice at the Earth's poles, causing sea levels to continue to rise every year or known as Sea Level Rising. The current architecture needs to pay attention to these conditions In an architectural effort to provide solutions in dealing with natural phenomena, several methods are carried out. The initial step is to carry out comparative studies related to the phenomena and solutions that are being carried out. Then it is necessary to design the concept of the floating building Besides design, further efforts need to be made such as the technology used to make it easier for the building to float automatically when sea level rises or floods occur, materials that are able to adapt to sea water where sea water is alkaline.

Abstract

This article discusses the influence of green space planning in architectural design on the emotional development of the community in Surabaya. With an increasing population and demand for urban facilities, Surabaya faces challenges such as traffic congestion and a reduction in green space. This study examines how green open spaces can contribute to the emotional well-being of the community, with reference to a case study in Seoul, South Korea. The method used is qualitative analysis of secondary data. This study found that green open spaces in CheongyeCheong have an impact on emotional development, the economic level of the community, and the surrounding environment.
