Abstract

An increase in Instant Messenger (IM) application users makes it easier for people to get connected through social media. Application developers regularly offer updates. However, those updates don’t always satisfy users expectations, instead confuse them. Even users are sometimes hesitant to update the app thus they switch to another messaging platform. This research discusses the analysis and comparison of two IM applications that reached 100 million downloads on Play Store; Whatsapp and Telegram. The analysis process is carried out from the features use in the Instant Messenger application. The data collection procedure are conducted by viewing the traffic. The data acquisition technique is done by using literacy and observation study methods to get full access to smartphones. The results of the analysis are in the form of a comparing table between both IM applications and expected to be future reference for further reseach.Peningkatan pengguna aplikasi Instant Messenger (IM) memudahkan masyarakat untuk terhubung melalui media sosial. Pengembang aplikasi secara teratur menawarkan pembaruan. Namun, pembaruan tersebut tidak selalu memenuhi harapan pengguna, malah membingungkan mereka. Bahkan pengguna terkadang ragu untuk memperbarui aplikasi sehingga mereka beralih ke platform perpesanan lain. Penelitian ini membahas tentang analisis dan perbandingan dua aplikasi IM yang mencapai 100 juta unduhan di Play Store; Whatsapp dan Telegram. Proses analisis dilakukan dari fitur-fitur yang digunakan pada aplikasi Instant Messenger. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melihat lalu lintas. Teknik akuisisi data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode studi literasi dan observasi untuk mendapatkan akses penuh ke smartphone. Hasil analisis berupa tabel perbandingan antara kedua aplikasi IM dan diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan untuk penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

Mata pelajaran basis data menunjang siswa untuk membangun, mengatur, dan memanipuasi data yang berupa informasi, gambar, video, audio, dan kombinasi dari yang disimpan dalam media elektronik dan diolah sedemikian rupa agar dapat digunakan dengan efektif dan efisien. Berdasarkan observasi awal ditemukan bahwa pemahaman siswa dalam memahami pelajaran basis data masihlah rendah. 70% siswa merasa bahwa mata pelajaran basis data sulit untuk dipahami. Berdasarkan latar belakang yang telah dipaparkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Sumber Belajar berupa Modul Ajar dengan muatan Conceptual Learning untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar pada Siswa. Sumber belajar ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan Model Pengembangan Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE). Hasil kelayakan dari ahli materi yaitu 81%, validasi ahli media 87,5%, hasil uji coba memperoleh presentase sebesar 87.9%, Peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa mendapatkan nilai post test lebih tinggi 53% dari rata-rata nilai pre test, dan kemandirian belajar mendapat rata-rata sebesar 82.04%.

Abstract

Indonesia is among the ranks of countries with the lowest literacy in the world. Precisely at rank 69 of 76 countries. If calculated the average Indonesian people only read one book per year. One of the reasons for the low literacy of Indonesia is the lack of understanding of Indonesian society with Indonesian vocabulary. Although Indonesian is an educational language which is also the national language and language of Indonesian unity, it can not be denied if Indonesian people do not fully master the Indonesian language. That's what causes the dictionary as a medium for discovering the meaning of words.On the other hand, until now Indonesia is not evenly able to facilitate the dictionary as a means of searching the meaning of words. Many Indonesian dictionaries only specialize for normal people only. Whereas the number of persons with disabilities in Indonesia reached 2.45% of the total population of Indonesia. Then the blind person is 29.63% of the total number of persons with disabilities. It can be concluded that people with visual impairment are the highest in persons with disabilities in Indonesia. Therefore the development of Indonesian dictionary for the blind is considered important in this era.Android is a Linux-based operating system that can be used for smart phones and tablet computers. The selection of Android as the Indonesian dictionary base for the visually impaired on the Android platforms is provided platfro open for developers to create applications. In addition to Android also features Talk Back and speech to text that was created specifically for the visually impaired. The feature works as an Android screen reader so that the blind people can enjoy the screen display with sound output. In line with these things Android is considered easier operation and maintenance because it is more practical than conventional dictionary.
