Abstract

Abstract. Unemployment of vocational high school graduates consists of two categories, the graduates who never been in work and who had been in work as a contract workers and then terminated. More than 63 percent of the graduates who have ever been as a contract workers did not work match with their competence, as a result when the contract agreement expired the workers did not been assigned as permanent workers. In order to get other jobs after termination,  the workers need to upgrade their competence or to retool with skills other than the skills the workers acquired from vocational school, in order to fit well with the need of workers in industry. Besides the functional skill needed for handling operational works, the terminated contract workers need to upgrade their soft skill suitable for the future working environment, that is learning to work in a group consisting of many communities to solve very complex problem as the characteristic of jobs in the industry 4.0, besides other component of soft skills such as honesty, discipline, attitude, commitment to work, communication skill, and open for change.

Abstract

This research sought to increase the activeness and learning achievement of students at Mechanical Engineering Vocational School through the use of swansoft CNC simulator application on CNC subject. This research implemented classroom action research design, consisting of 3 cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects involved were twelfth grade students of Mechanical Engineering Vocational School. Observation sheets and multiple-choice tests were used to collect data which were then analyzed using descriptive analysis technique. The research results showed that the use of swansoft CNC simulator could increase the activeness and learning achievement of twelfth grade students of Mechanical Engineering Vocational School. Learning activeness increased and could be seen from the first cycle of 50.25% in less active category, to the second cycle of 54.75% in fairly active category, and finally the third cycle of 68% in active category. Learning achievement increased and it could be seen from test results that in cycle I there were 64% of students who reached the minimum standard score of 75, and the number increased in cycle II to 72%, and increased further in cycle III to 80%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan media articulate storyline untuk mata pelajaran Teknik Permesinan Konvensional Kelas XI SMKN 1 Seyegan yang memenuhi kriteria layak, praktis, dan efektif. Instrumen yang dipakai di penelitian ini adalah angketpenilaian ahli materi dan ahli media untuk mengukur kelayakan, lembar angket respon siswa untuk mengukur kepraktisan, dan game untuk mengukur keefektifan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Reserch and Development) yang menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan tahapan Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek uji coba Media Pembelajaran Articulate Storyline yang dikembangkan adalah peserta didik kelas XI TFLM 1 SMKN 1 Seyegan sebanyak 36 siswa. Instrumen yang digpakai adalah lembar penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media untuk mengukur kelayakan, lembar angket respon siswa untuk mengukur kepraktisan, dan lembar tes untuk mengukur keefektifan.Penelitian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran Articulate Storyline yang di ubah menjadi apikasi android pada materi menghitung kecepatan putaran mesin bubut untuk peserta didik kelas XI TFLM 1 SMKN 1 Seyegan yang memenuhi kriteria layak, praktis, dan juga efektif. Penilaian kelayakan diperoleh hasil rata-rata skor dari validator ahli materisesesar 3,26 dengan kriteria baik untuk rata-rata skor dari validator ahli media sebesar 3,74 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Penilian kepraktisan didapat dari hasil angket respon siswa dengan skor rata-rata yang didapat yaitu3,38 dengan kriteria baik atau praktis. Penilaian keefektifan didapat dari posttest kemampuan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi menghitung kecepatan mesin bubut, didapat ketuntasan siswa secara klasikal dengan KKM ≥ 70 yaitu 71% dengan kriteria baikKata kunci: Media Pembelajaran; Pengembangan; Articulate Storyline; Mesin bubut
