Abstract

In this manuscript, the researcher aimed to understand his lived experiences, beliefs, and the culture he is in, being a novice grade school teacher in a Philippine private school. Reflection as a research methodology is utilized to make sense of the data generated. The discussion is thematically dived into three parts, namely—(1) the delivery of instruction; (2) school and classroom culture; and (3) the school community. This paper contends that reflection fosters active thought about actions and situations, making the teacher truly engaged in the course of education. Reflection can help strive toward learning and progress. It is suggested for teachers to intentionally reflect so as to invite continuous learning and progress. This especially can be a manifestation of authenticity in the business of facilitation of learning among teachers. Furthermore, reflection is a prerequisite to rethinking pedagogical styles and teaching craft, leading to innovation in the educational arena.

Abstract

The aim of this manuscript is to shed light on the stakeholder concept. Particularly, it strives to define and classify the concept of stakeholders. This is done because many are still confused with this concept and misuse the term in various occasions. Without having this knowledge, organizational leaders may lead the disarray in meetings and planning. Consequentially, this lack of knowledge base of leader can drive toward the ineffectiveness. In this paper, the definition of stakeholder is also highlighted and explained through the words of experts in organizational studies. Examples are given to further concretize the meaning of stakeholder. Different typologies of stakeholders are discussed, together with roles and possible difficulties. It is anticipated that misperception regarding this topic will be reduced or better eliminated. Moreover, this article accentuates on the inevitable interaction between stakeholders and an organization, which determines an organization's sustainable and survival rates. It is emphasized that an organization will degrade in its posture and effectiveness if it runs on its own, without paying much attention to its stakeholders.

Abstract

This paper explores a discourse about the bright and dark sides of social media, which is rooted from various studies. It offers also a reflection about the topic. The paper uses literature review as a research methodology to make sense of the data gathered. In conclusion, social media is not beneficial nor malevolent; it is neither neutral. It is only a medium of whatever one wants to convey. Therefore, the bright and dark sides of social media can be traced upon on how a specific individual uses the platform. It just becomes beneficial or untoward depending on the users themselves. Factors, such as, but not limited to, intention, caution, usage, and self-control, contribute to outcomepositive or negative in nature.
