Abstract

Education is a learning process that involves acquiring knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes. The formal form of education in schools provides students with an organized structure and curriculum. The components of national education include the environment, facilities and infrastructure, resources, and society. These components collaborate, establish connections and aid in accomplishing educational objectives. Teachers, and their potential, play a crucial role in the realm of education. The psychological potential of teachers in teaching and learning activities plays a role in improving their teaching. This study aims to evaluate and analyze the effect of using Prezi as a learning medium on the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities at SMK Negeri 1 Girisubo. We collected data using a descriptive qualitative approach, which included interviews, direct observations in class, and document analysis. The results showed that using Prezi significantly increased student engagement, understanding of the material, and learning motivation. Prezi's dynamic and interactive visual displays helped students focus more and understand complex materials better. Despite challenges such as the need for adequate technological infrastructure and additional time for preparation, teachers felt that Prezi provided flexibility and creativity in compiling learning materials. We expect schools with similar characteristics to adopt these practical recommendations for improving the use of Prezi in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Teachers play a vital role in the education system because they are the ones who are actually responsible for educating students in the classroom. To a large extent, student achievement and teacher satisfaction determine the quality of education. The quality of learning and student learning outcomes are directly influenced by the level of motivation of instructors, which in turn influences their level of enthusiasm when carrying out their duties. With this study, we will better understand how the principals of Tunjungseto Elementary School can inspire their teachers to do their best work. The primary methods of qualitative data collection for this study were interviews, participant observation, and written notes. The study showed that the involvement of the principal in providing ongoing guidance, incentives, and support has a significant impact on the growth of teacher motivation to perform well. Good principals know what they are doing when it comes to encouraging professional development for teachers and cultivating a fun workplace. Motivating teachers to do their best work is an area where principals can make a big difference. To foster an atmosphere that supports teacher professional development, principals must offer clear guidance, inspiration, and ongoing support. If para-administrators are successful in making teachers feel valued and supported in their work, it will show in their motivation and performance in the classroom. How effective principals are in inspiring their staff to perform well depends on a number of factors, including consistent and clear communication, support from management, and adequate resources. Schools with principals who can foster an environment of open communication and who are willing to support improvements in school facilities tend to be happier.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students' attitudes towards maintaining local wisdom through gardening activities, namely planting aloe vera as part of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). Local wisdom is a cultural asset passed down from generation to generation and is the identity of a region. Therefore, understanding and implementing local wisdom in everyday life is very important for students. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected by conducting direct observations of gardening activities, interviews with accompanying teachers and students, and documentation of various activities during planting and caring for aloe vera. The study found that gardening practices effectively instill local knowledge values in children. This exercise teaches students the basics of farming and helps them develop positive characteristics such as responsibility, discipline, and environmental concern. Students are accustomed to carrying out their duties according to a predetermined schedule, caring for plants with great attention, and working with friends in caring for plants.Furthermore, this exercise fosters a love of nature and increases students' knowledge of the importance of environmental conservation. This practical learning method helps students realize the importance of preserving and using local cultural activities based on local wisdom, such as gardening, which can be an excellent strategy for character development and preservation of local culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the school principal as a supervisor in implementing effective academic supervision at Perak Junior High School Yogyakarta. Previous studies have rarely examined this role empirically in the context of Indonesian junior high schools with a structured, reflective supervision system. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving one school principal and five teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Trustworthiness was ensured through source and technique triangulation, member checking, and audit trail. The findings reveal that effective academic supervision encompasses systematic planning, objective classroom observation, constructive feedback, and concrete follow-up. The principal functions as planner, observer, evaluator, professional coach, facilitator, and communicator, fostering a reflective learning culture. Academic supervision conducted twice per academic year positively improved teachers’ instructional skills and use of learning media. These results indicate that supervision effectiveness depends on humanist, collaborative, and evidence-based principal leadership oriented toward sustained learning quality improvement.
