Abstract

The establishing a pesantren in a prostitution area is a very interesting topic to bestudied. This is because the challenge would be different from building a pesantren inother community situations. This article based on the research on the roles of DarutTaubah pesantren in teaching of moral values to commercial sex workers at Saritemprostitution area. This is a qualitative  case study research using a phenomenology approach. Data was gathered using observation, in-depth interview, and documentary research. Data was analyzed utilizing inductive approach. Finding of this study showsthat the establishment of Darut Taubah pesantren was motivated by cultural andstructural factors. Moreover, teaching of moral values was conducted through reorganizing structural and instrumental elements using many ways namely; persuasive method and prioritizing the roles of pesantren, teaching moral values and developing the social roles. After the existence of Darut Taubah pesantren in Saritem area, the prostitutionactivities decrease significantly either in terms of quantity or intensity.

Abstract

This article presented the results of research on the Integration of Learning Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) to Schools. This research was motivated by the existence of such as fierce controversy among the public regarding the enactment regulation of Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number. 23 of 2017 concerned School Day. The study was a case study conducted at the Cisaat State Primary School (SDN) Sukabumi District, West Java Province. Data collection techniques combine field observations, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Inductive data analysis yields some conclusions as follows: first, the integration of MDT learning in Cisaat Elementary School is done through an integrative and collaborative model. Second, the integration model of MDT learning in the new Cisaat Elementary School in the form of curriculum content and empowerment of some MDT teachers, not in the form of learning facilities or facilities. Third, the motivation of MDT managers, the spirit of the Diniyah Takmilyah Communication Forum (FKDT) board, and the existence of Regional Regulations (Perda) and Regent Regulations (Perbup) are supporting factors for the integration of learning. Whereas the limitations of facilities and infrastructure as well as the absence of special MDT supervisors have an effect on the implementation of learning on MDT to be less professional.

Abstract

AbstractEducation today is colored and dominated by theories derived from Western thought, while theories of Muslim scientists who refer to al-Quran and al-Hadith are much neglected even though their thoughts are very interesting and important for the development of model of Islamic education in Indonesia. The article presents the results of the reception of the book of Muqaddimah authored by Ibn Khaldun related to learning model. The data was collected by heuristic and hermeneutic reading (analytical reading) on the book. Results of the analysis showed that the learning model (rihlah) done by many teachers through direct face-to-face learning patterns (sorogan, wetonan or bandongan) can maintain the validity of the science and expand knowledge and foster social institutions that can provide a very meaningful experience for educators and learners.AbstrakDunia pendidikan saat ini banyak diwarnai dan didominasi oleh teori-teori yang bersumber dari pemikiran Barat, sementara teori-teori dari ilmuan muslim yang mengambil sumber dari al-Quran dan al-Hadist banyak terabaikan, padahal buah fikir mereka sangat menarik dan penting untuk pengembangan model pendidikan Islam di Indonesia.Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil resepsi terhadap kitab Muqaddimah karya Ibnu Khaldun terkait model pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik (pembacaan analitis) atas kitab tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran (rihlah) yang dilakukan dengan banyak guru melalui pola pembelajaran langsung bertatap muka (sorogan, wetonan atau bandongan) dapat menjaga validitas ilmu dan memperluas pengetahuan serta menumbuhkan pranata sosial yang bisa memberikan pengalaman yang sangat bermakna bagi pendidik dan peserta didik.
