Abstract

This study aims to reveal how the wedding service quality index in Central Java, how the gap realities andexpectations of society towards services, and analyze the attributes of what priority the improvement inservice wedding in Central Java. The approach used in this study is quantitative. Testing the validity andreliability of the instrument showed some fall and after a further test entirely valid and reliable. Thenumber of samples involved in the study is 1000 obtained with quota purposive random samplingmethod. The study states: 1) Quality Index marriage services in Central Java at 79.08 categorized asgood; 2) All dimensions of service quality both tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance andempathy all is negative, meaning that all of society not as expected 3) gapnya biggest attribute is thattangible aspects of priority improvements on these aspects, without neglecting the other aspects

Abstract

Islamic student organization (Rohis) at SMA Negeri 1 Sragen is a media to study Islam for the students. Ideally, the materials given during the learning process should be aligned to nationalism spirit. This study aimed to describe religiosity understanding of the Rohis members in nationalism context and to describe the attitude and behaviors of the Rohis members towards their understanding. This research used qualitative research design. The main primary data was obtained using interview and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with Rohis members, teachers, and Rohis mentors. Data was analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results show that The Rohis members believe that Islam is the true religion and the belief is followed by the awareness that Ideology of Pancasila recognizes the diversity. Therefore, the idea to establish Islamic country could not be accepted.  Religion understanding of the Rohis members is  implemented by doing the Islamic teachings properly. The difference on faith is not an obstacle for the member of Rohis to interact with other students within and outside the school. The values upheld  is to create unity and harmony are tolerance and respecting others. However, the interaction with the outsiders, particularly that is indicated spreading radicalism among student should be controlled. In conclusion, understanding of the religion of members of Rohis SMAN 1 Sragen is in line with the values of nationality, that is, to keep the unity of the nation. Abstrak: Organisasi Kerohanian Islam (Rohis) di SMA Negeri 1 Sragen adalah salah satu sarana untuk memperdalam Agama Islam bagi para siswa. Secara ideal, pembelajaran agama yang diberikan hendaknya selaras dengan wawasan kebangsaan yang dimiliki oleh Negara Indonesia. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan pemahaman keagamaan siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Rohis dalam konteks kebangsaan dan menggambarkan sikap dan perilaku siswa anggota Rohis sebagai bentuk pemahaman tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data primer didapatkan melalui interviu dan FGD dengan para pengurus Rohis SMA Negeri 1 Sragen serta guru dan pembina Rohis. Analisis data menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para pengurus Rohis SMA Negeri 1 Sragen meyakini bahwa Agama Islam merupakan agama yang paling benar dan kesadaran tersebut tetap diikuti dengan kesadaran bahwa Ideologi Pancasila mengakui adanya keragaman dan perbedaan, sehingga ide untuk menjadikan Islam sebagai ideologi negara tidak bisa dibenarkan. Pemahaman agama tercermin dalam perilaku melaksanakan ajaran agama secara benar. Perbedaan keyakinan tidak menghalangi para pengurus Rohis untuk melakukan interaksi dengan siswa lain di lingkungan sekolah maupun luar sekolah. Nilai yang dianut untuk mewujudkan persatuan adalah toleransi dan saling menghormati. Namun, interaksi dengan pihak luar terutama yang terindikasi menyebarkan radikalisme patut diwaspadai. Dengan demikian, pemahaman agama anggota Rohis SMAN 1 Sragen sejalan dengan nilai-nilai kebangsaan, yaitu menjaga persatuan bangsa.

Abstract

Religious educators has prominent roles on community spiritual development, includes Muslim converts or Mualaf. Converts needs much more guidance to strengthen their faith. Therefore, religious educators should apply appropriate strategies to develop communities in both material and spiritual aspects. This paper tried to explain the strategies were used by religious educators to carry out their functions and the efforts to develop converts in Turi Subdisrict. This study applied qualitative approach. The results of the study were: first, religious educators have already properly conducted their function, includes: informative, educative, consultative, and advocative. Second, Convert empowerment program includes several activities, such as: Convert friendship forum; Faith strengthening and sharia practices; and convert’s economic development. Third, Religious educators roled as a bridge between converts and external parties, Regional Amil Zakat Agency (Bazda) of Sleman District and National Amil Zakat (Baznas), Religious Ministry, Religious Community Organization of Sleman District, Pokjaluh, and Regional Government of Sleman District.

Abstract

Indonesia is known for its variety of tradition. The ritual of Merti Bumi Tunggularum is among the important traditions which has not been explored in studies. This study explores the origin of Merti Bumi tradition, especially related to the community values of religious harmony. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach. The results of this study highlight that: (1) The tradition of Merti Bumi Tunggularum is referred to the respected figure of Kyai Tunggul Wulung, in which his death is commemorated through the ritual of annual Haul held in the community in the month of Sapar 21st. This annual haul has been developed into various traditions, including the Carnival of the Merti Bumi and some other related ceremonies. (2) The ritual of Merti Bumi reflects community’s value of religious harmony as it involves tolerance, equality and mutual cooperation among people from various religious backgrounds in the society.[Indonesia dikenal dengan keragaman tradisinya. Ritual Merti Bumi Tunggularum adalah salah satu tradisi berharga yang belum dieksplorasi dalam studi ilmiah. Penelitian ini menelusuri awal mula tradisi Merti Bumi, terutama yang beekenaan dengan nilai-nilai kerukunan umat beragama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengemukakan bahwa: (1) Tradisi Merti Bumi Tunggularum merunut pada tokoh Kyai Tunggul Wulung yang sangat dihormati, yang kematiannya diperingati melalui ritual Haul tahunan yang diadakan pada bulan Sapar ke 21. Peringatan ini telah dikembangkan menjadi berbagai tradisi, termasuk upacara Merti Bumi dan upacara lainnya yang berkaitan. (2) Ritual Merti Bumi mencerminkan nilai kerukunan beragama masyarakat karena memegang teguh toleransi, kesetaraan, dan gotong royong timbal balik pada semua lapisan masyarakat dengan berbagai latar belakang agama yang berbeda-beda.]

Abstract

Religion advisor for a family is a starting point in the success of nation building. This essay is to explore the quality index of religion advisor in conducting family guiding through religious gathering. This study uses a quantitative approach. From the validity and reliability test it can be seen that 32 items are valid and reliable. There are 107 samples, these respondents are selected using purposive random sampling. Results of this research show; firstly index of the roles of religion advisors in guiding Majlis Taklim family stands at 78.71 or good. Secondly, The aspect of religion advisor that are studied including communication capacity, service quality, and attitude of religion advisor are categorized as very good. but the participation of religion advisor is categorized as not good, it means that is not fulfill the consumers’ expectation. Thirdly, the least score of religion’s advisor is participation element which stands at 58.06 (not good), therefore this needs to be developed.
