Abstract

The following article tries to trace the reflection regarding santri political world at national stage. The groups of santri believe that they are as representatives of moslem communities although that fact shows that the groups of santri always failto get full supporting from moslem majority. Democracy places the voice of majority as the truth source that handled by the people. This principle of democracy can not be understood that contrary to the the doctrine system of Islam when moral quality of political party leaders, that of legislative, that of the candidate of president and that ot vice president.

Abstract

The dynamic development of Islam, especially in the country side farm-are, describes the interaction between the pure Islam—symbolizedby Muhammadiyah —and the farmer tradition. The tradition offarmer religiosity is oftenly connected with superstition, bid'ah and kurafaat. This book is based on the writer's research that shows the sociological description on the aculturation the meeting of both traditions and on the role of village leaders in East-Java. The most important finding is this research is thattheincreasing number of Muhammadiyah followers in the farming - areas is notmainly because of the success oftradition purifying but it is merely supported by some certain social situations.

Abstract

The article below traces the fundamentalism either with violence or without radicalization is not only phenomenon that emerges from the religion community but also rises from secular community. The fundamentalism of religion denotes general phenomena, which appears from the practices of religions as well as the fundamentalism of secularism and modernism. In this case, the position of human pertaining to The Holy Scripture shows sociological dimension according to an interpretation. In the history of Islam and the great religions in the world, fundamental ism either radical or not radical constitutes a social phenomena reacting to social change. The dysfunction of the values of the religion doctrine that becomes the reference of social conduct motivates the member of the community carries out to reject every social change by isolating themselves from the change. While the appearance of reinterpretation toward the old doctrine of religion faces the social change.

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of diction in da'wah writings delivered by two great scholars in the history of Islam in Indonesia, namely Ahmad Hassan and Ahmad Dahlan. The writings studied are Ahmad Hassan's writing entitled “High Modesty in Islam” and Ahmad Dahlan's writing entitled “The Unity of Human Life”. This research is focused on diction which is specialized again on the study of standard and substandard language, scientific words and popular words. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method that examines based on the phenomena written in the works of the two figures and described as a description of the results of the analysis. The results of this study indicate that the diction used by the two figures reflects differences but is still correlated because Ahmad Hassan uses more standard and scientific language diction so that the spread of da'wah can only be done to educated people or certain groups who study the science. Meanwhile, Ahmad Dahlan prefers standard and popular language diction so that the da'wah given through his writings can be accepted by all levels of society from the top to the bottom. This is evidenced by Ahmad Hassan Dahlan's use of popular words 10 diction while Ahmad Dahlan up to 18 diction but Ahmad Hassan's use of scientific words reached 5 diction while Ahmad Dahlan did not use scientific words.Keywords: Diction, Ahmad Hassan, Ahmad Dahlan, Da’wah.
