Abstract

This study aimed to know (1) correlation between learning activeness with learning achievement of social science subject, (2) the correlation between parents’ learning guidance with learning achievement of social subject, (3) the correlation between learning activeness and parents’ learning guidance with learning achievement of social science subject. The type of this study was a quantitative research. The data collecting techniques used questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis techniques used descriptive technique and hypothesis testing used Product Moment and double regression with two predictors that were started by an independence test, a normality test, and a linearity test. This study shows that the correlation coefficient of each independent variable had a positive correlation with dependent variable. The score of = 0.26557 > = 0.1912, it means that learning activeness had a positive and significant correlation with learning achievement of social science subject. The score of = 0.30402 > = 0.1912, it means that parents’ learning guidance had a positive and significant correlation with learning achievement of social science subject. The study shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between learning activeness and parents’ learning guidance with learning achievement of social science subject (Fregresi = 8.66415 > Ftabel=3.0884). It can be concluded that learning activeness and parents’ learning guidance have a correlation with learning achievement of social science subject among the fifth grade students of state elementary schools of Sultan Agung in Karanganyar Purbalingga. The score of R2 is 0.14521, it means that learning activeness and parents’ learning guidance gives contribution 14.521% toward learning achievement of social science subject, while 85.479% is explained by other factors that are not analyzed in regression model.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the comprehension of the “Pemerintahan Desa dan Kecamatan” using learning methods Concept Mapping fourth grade students of State Elementary School Genengsari 1. This research uses class action research that is held in two cycle. The data was gained from observation result, interview and test. The research result show, Concept Mapping method can increase comprehension of concept Civic Education. It looks of enhancement comprehension of student Civic Education concept that has reached KKM 70. At the first cycle, there is an improvement that is from pre-action around 19% or 5 students become 58% or 15 students at the end of first cycle. At the second cycle also has improvement that is from 58% or 15 students at the first cycle become 96,2% or 25 students at the end of second cycle. Therefore could be said that this class action research is successful to increase the comprehension of Civic Education concept fourth grade students of State Elementary School Genengsari 1 because has meet the successfully criteria that specified with shown 80% of the number of students have reached Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM).

Abstract

This study aimed to describe (1) correlation between learning motivation with learning achievement of social science subject, (2) correlation between parents’ parenting with learning achievement of social science subject, (3) correlation between learning motivation and parents’ parenting with learning achievement of social science subject among the third grade students of state elementary school in Prambanan District. The type of this study was ex-post facto. Data collecting techniques used questionnaire and documentation. Data analyzing techniques used descriptive technique and hypothesis testing by using double regression with two predictors that was started by independence test, normality test, and linearity test. This study shows that the correlation coefficient of each independent variable has a positive correlation with dependent variable. The score of = 0.24585 > rtable 0.18588, it means that learning motivation has a positive and significant correlation with learning achievement of social science subject. The score of = 0.23821 > rtable 0.18588, it means that parents’ parenting has a positive and significant correlation with learning achievement of social science subject. The study shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between learning motivation and parents’ parenting with learning achievement of social subject (R= 0.32811 and Freg = 6,575 > Ftable = 3.0828). The score of R2 is 0.10766, it means that learning motivation and parents’ parenting gives contribution 10.766% toward learning achievement of social science subject, while 89.234% was influenced by other factors that were not entered in regression model. Learning motivation gave effective contribution 5.59648% toward learning achievement of social science subject and parents’ parenting gives contribution 5.19646% toward learning achievement of social science subject.
