Abstract

This study aims to: Describe the creativity of students in learning batik using cold wax media. This study uses a qualitative method. To collect data, researchers used interview techniques, direct field observation, documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman methods, namely data editor, data presentation, verification. While the validity test of the data includes the test of internal validity (credibility), transferability testing, dependability testing and confirmation testing. The results of the study show that (1). Students' creativity in learning batik using cold wax media, the material is slightly different from the one given at the beginning of the discussion of the material needed, students make cold wax using starch because starch binds the cloth faster when applying to Mori cloth. (2). The making of motive patterns is very diverse, with a compact theme about the motives of the area of origin of each student, so as to make students aware of cultural heritage and can challenge local wisdom. (3) Using used bottles from cooking vinegar. (5) making a tutorial book where the book is material in the form of theory and practice into a book in which there are steps in making art that they have studied for one semester. From this assignment, the students showed their creativity again through the compilation of tutorials on how to use cold wax with great interest so that they could later use the book again when they went directly to the job to become elementary school teachers.

Abstract

This article studied the creative dance model implementation in dance teaching for PGSD students, this article is formulated so that (1) PGSD Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa students know how to create children dance, (2) PGSD Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa students can create children dance by using creative dance model, (3) in the creation process, PGSD Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa students can develop their creative idea, (4) PGSD students become active, creative, and innovative students in the process of creating children dances. Additionally, this article also aims at analyzing the role of creative dance model in the creation of children dance in Dancing Art teaching. The creative dance model is often referred to as creation model. The approach used in this research is qualitative research which applied a descriptive analysis method aimed at describing, summarizing various conditions, various situations, or various social reality phenomena in the community. The data collection was conducted by means of observation, interview, and documentation. The product of this research would be a teaching model that can be used as a guide or manual in the process of construction and exploration of children dance to be used by PGSD students, especially PGSD Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process and creativity of Environmental-Based 3-Dimensional Artwork Exploration in the Arts and Crafts Course at PGSD UST Yogyakarta which was carried out by students during online learning. The work process starting from the selection of the main materials, the preparation of tools and supporting materials to the tutorial preparation process was carried out independently by each student but was still monitored through the online lecture process. This research used a qualitative method. To collect data, researchers used direct observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis steps included data reduction, data presentation and verification, while the data validity test included internal validity, external validity, dependability and confirmability. This research had been running until the stage of data collection. For the next step, the researcher continued to complete more in-depth data collection in the form of documentation, other supporting documents and others stuffs for the preparation of the final report. The results of this study could be used as a source or reference material, both by policy makers, prospective elementary school teachers, students of elementary school teacher education study programs, academic practitioners and the community in learning arts, culture and crafts (SBDP). It is hoped that future elementary school teacher candidates can become facilitators and moderators in learning arts and culture and can utilize natural materials around their homes and schools in making artworks and crafts in elementary schools.
