<![CDATA[Introduction : HIV/AIDS is a disease that attacks the immune system, so that the body experiences a decrease in immunity and is easily infected by disease. Students are expected to have knowledge in attitudes and actions to prevent HIV/AIDS transmission. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of nursing students at level IV with the prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission at STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan.Methods : The research design used a non-experimental design with a cross sectional method. The population in this study were all Level IV Nurse Students as many as 88 people. The sampling technique in this study used total sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire.Results : Level IV Nurses students who have good knowledge of 50% (44 people), have good transmission prevention measures of 61.4% (54 people). The results of the chi square test statistic obtained p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that the relationship between Level IV Nurse Student Knowledge and HIV/AIDS Prevention Measures at STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan while Level IV Nurse Students who have a good attitude are 76.1 % (67 people), and good prevention measures 61.4% (54 people) the results of the chi square statistic obtained p value = 0.466 > 0.05, meaning that there is no relationship between the attitudes of Level IV Nurses students with HIV/AIDS prevention measures at STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan.Conclusion : In this study, students are expected to be able to increase knowledge and attitudes in preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS.]]>
