Abstract

The development of expert systems–based applications has been very popular since 1950, with a rather wide coverage. Expert systems in organizations are aimed at adding value, increasing productivity and assisting management to take quick decisions. Similarly, organization engaging in the farming industry, while very promising, requires high awareness against diseases, such as poultry (chicken) which are very susceptible to various types of diseases caused by viruses or bacteria. Benefits of implementing the expert system are that they can diagnose the symptoms of diseases quickly and accurately and they are expected to be able to help farmers in anticipating the losses resulting from disease attack. Accurate and precise calculations are required to diagnose symptoms in order to conclude the output by means of the Certainty Factors (CFs)Keywords: expert system, diagnosing the diseases, method of Certainty Factors (CFs)

Abstract

The problems of Indonesian sea transportation are seriously need to reveal and solve. Eventhough, the government has a significant role managing the organisation at the executive, managerial, and operational level. They are needed performing of regulations, strategic policy, law arrangements, data and information management, company culture, business process supervision, and functional activities on-the-spot. This research used a system improvement objective that is causal effect analyses, system objectives, and constraints. The data are collected through document studies, interviews, meetings, and discussions. The confirmation and verifications of models were conducted using Focus Group Discussion. The results of analysis indicate that three main problems are structural organisation (executive, management, and operational level), regulations, and integrated of information system. Based on Critical Success Factors, the main barriers were regulations, policies, political will, bureaucracy, organisational governance, infrastructure, and an integrated system. Specifically, the model of value chain and an integrated of information system architecture are recommended.

Abstract

The research reported in this paper aimed to improve the quality, size ratio, and storage size of Digital Signatures (DS) used in the e-form Fumida app, a mobile application employed by PT Fumida Pestindo Jaya (Fumida) pest control, termite control, and fumigation services for data collection and verification. The application was developed using MADLC method for research and development of mobile application and utilized as a replacement for paper media used to fill in data related to work with the DS feature (e-signature), from which verification/authentication of the work results carried out by Fumida to its clients is given. The original DS, while replacing paper forms, suffered quality and accuracy loss when resized for printing, prompting the investigation of three methods to enhance their integrity. This process was subsequently examined using a questionnaire with the help of 22 respondents and calculation of questionnaire data. The results of our study showed that our model 3 emerged as the most effective solution, maintaining high image quality and accuracy even when resized.

Abstract

Abstract

Banking performance must always be maintained in providing fast and accurate services based on data processing results. PT Bank ABC has several data warehouse from various sources. The technology used makes the reporting process more complex, and maintenance costs are high. This research presents the data warehouse system transformation process using a single source of truth approach and the use of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools from IBM InfoSphere DataStage version 11.5. ETL testing is carried out on the Performance Measurement System (PMS) process by business units to monitor, identify, and analyze performance in each business unit. The results obtained proved to be faster than DB2 and Oracle database queries. Using the DataStage platform provides advantages in time efficiency, which is a crucial factor in overall data processing. In addition, DataStage Integration can have a positive impact on overall system performance, support smooth operations, and minimize the potential for database server overload.

Abstract

The importance of mental health in the world needs special attention. A country with a dense and high population, such as Indonesia, is known to be vulnerable to the prevalence of mental disorders due to the pressure of various factors such as work, social, cultural, and environment. The high number of mental disorders threatens the country's economy because they are not optimally productive. Currently, accurate mental health data is complex due to stigma and a lack of understanding and knowledge in society. This research aims to apply the integrated component-based knowledge management system (ICB-KMS) framework for mental health. The study was conducted in five mental hospitals in the A category using quantitative and qualitative methods. More than 200 pieces of data were collected from practitioners and healthcare professionals (doctors and psychiatrists), medical staff, nurses, management, stakeholders, and policymakers. Four of the seven phases of the ICB-KMS framework were successfully carried out, i.e., requirement analysis, system design and architecture, knowledge acquisition and integration, and user interface design interaction. The result is a blueprint of ICB-KMS with functional and non-functional systems and application architecture.
