Abstract

The quality of life of the elderly will be preserved through physical activity or sport, because exercise becomes a very physiological stimulus involving all body systems. Proper physical activity and routine for the elderly will be very beneficial for both physical and psychological. Hatha yoga is believed to be an alternative non-pharmacological treatment in lowering blood pressure and some other diseases caused by vascular and metabolic disorders. Therefore with this research is expected to produce a preliminary assessment of how adaptation physiology of the cardiovascular system lungs in elderly against the practice of hatha yoga that is based on facts obtained, able to provide an understanding of the efforts to improve the quality of life of the elderly through physical activity. Methode of research is experimental research design quasi-experimental (Quasi experiment Design) without a control group with the approach of one group pretest-posttest. The sample in this research is the elderly who suffer from hypertension or high blood pressure are a total of 11 people who exercise hatha yoga for 12 weeks on a regular basis with the frequency of exercise three times a week. The results of this study showed changes significant reductions in blood pressure systole and blood pressure diastole in the elderly before and after the practice of hatha yoga, There are changes significant reduction average between Heartbeat elderly before and after the practice of hatha yoga, There is a changes a significant increase on average between frequency of breath just before and after the practice of hatha yoga. The suggestions: Yoga exercises are done in routine can be one of the non-pharmacological therapy in reducing the state hemodynamics mainly on the blood pressure of elderly who suffer from hypertension and the need to do more research on the examination system of immunology and more of the elderly against the practice of hatha yoga, accompanied by a review of the sport in elderly with control and treatment groups in order to obtain more in-depth resultsKeywords: adaptation, exercise, hatha yoga, elderly

Abstract

Lingkungan Bua-Bua II (Bolapatappuloe), Kelurahan Sipatokkong, Kecamatan Watang Sawitto, merupakan salah satudaerah di KabupatenPinrang yang sebagian besar penduduknya berprofesi sebagai petani. Salah satu komuditas yang banyak dibudidayakan adalah tanaman kelapa (cococ nucifera) yang memiliki sejuta manfaat. Oleh sebab itu dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini memfokuskan pada kegiatan pengolahan buah kelapa (cococ nucifera) menjadi minyak yang memiliki nilai jual yang lebih tinggi. Kegiatan ini merupakan program kerja Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang yang diselenggarakan pada tahun akademik 2019/2020 yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan harga jual kelapa setelah diolah menjadi minyak atau sekedar mencukupi kebutuhan dapur di tengah krisinya ekonomi terdampak pandemi Covid 19. Kegiatan ini memberikan pengalaman yang luar biasa kepada generasi muda dalam memperkenalkan suatu kearifan lokal yang hampir tidak lagi tersentuh oleh generasi saat ini, atau yang lebih kita kenal dengan sebutan generasi Milenial, sesuai dengan zamannya dimana generasi ini lebih akrab dengan teknologi.

Abstract

Bacgroud : Growth and development of early childhood requires a variety of stimulus because at that age is a very important time for children to develop in accordance with their needs and potential. According to the Indonesian Pediatricians Association (IDAI) conduct examination in the age range 0-6 years. The results obtained that 69.4% of children can not achieve the development of cognitive function, language and speech.Method : This research is a pre experiment research with one group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 15 children with purposive sampling technique on August 27 to June 05, 2017. Data analysis used is Univariat and Bivariat with t-test with 95% confidence level and α: 5%. The results showed that there was an influence of educational game with puzzle media on cognitive development in recognizing the shape and color of preschoolers (4-5,5 years) with p-value = 0,000 <0.05. Result The conclusion of this research is that statistically there is influence of educative game with media puzzle to cognitive development in recognizing the shape and color of preschool age children (4-5,5 year).For that, it is expected to effectively improve the cognitive development in children.
