Abstract

In this researcher centers on the troubles in reading comprehension by the second semester of students ‘of FKIP in Batanghari University. In this plan, analyst utilized quantitative method. Subject of the analyst is students’ second semester (A2). The researcher used Purposive sampling to select the sample consists of 10 students. There was just only one class of the second semester. The technique of collecting data was by using a test by multiple choice consisted of 20 question items and questionnaire with Likert scale was utilized to gather information. Based on the finding of students’ reactions in questionnaire, they were with score weak criterion. The researcher it can be concluded that the most under studies had trouble in Reading Comprehension. Furthermore, Reading Comprehension test only two students got high scores 90. And Average 49, 5. It is demonstrates that the students have troubles in answering reading comprehension test The researcher it can be concluded that the most students had difficulty in Reading Comprehension. It is recommended that to have a great of perusing comprehension, understudies ought to learn more approximately the perusing comprehension and continuously perusing English content such as perusing aptitudes and doing hone perusing test.

Abstract

This study was a discussion about ability reading comprehension and the purpose of the study is to find out the application of Folklore series illustrate in improving the ability of students; reading comprehension of the Second Grade Students at SMP 24 Kota Jambi in Academic Year 2018. The research is designed by using pre and post-test design. This research design is chosen to refer to its superiority in controlling for extraneous factors that may influence the outcome though random assignment procedure. The pre-test result showed that the mean score of data was 53.66. From the pre-test result, it could be seen the lowest score was 36.66 and the highest score was 70. The post-test result in this group shown that the mean score of the post-test result is 74.32 test result with the lower score was 43.33 and the highest score was 90.The analysis the mean score of students; reading comprehension by using illustrated Folklore it effect of using ore Series was higher than mean score of students; reading comprehension not using illustrated Folklore Series. It means the effect of using comprehension at SMP Negeri 24 Kota Jambi was accepted.

Abstract

AbstractStress is unsatisfactory situations of life where people want to change it for the better one with the emotions come and go with circumstances’ changing. Learning English is the process to know more about English capability which develops in a human. The purposes in this research want to types of the stress that students feel in learning English on 2rd Semester at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Batanghari University of Jambi Academic Year 2017/2018. The researcher where numerical data used in order to analyze the gathered information is called quantitative research. The population of the research is 40 students and the samples are 20 students. The data collected by questionnaire. Then, Questionnaire used Scale likert with data ordinal. The result of this research are, 20% of students stress affects sleep because students tired when who activities in campus. 34 5 high score is behavior of students, 31% is Personal habit and 15% low score is emotional. There were ways done by students to disappear their stress is pray to God. Sharing problem solve with parents, family, close friend and so on. All of students activities to lose the feeling stress.
